Comments about Tascam LA-40mkIII 4-Channel Bidirectional Audio Converter:
I tried a couple other methods to interface my Revox PR-99 deck (XLR) to my music system. Nothing worked properly so I got this unit figuring I could return it if it was unsatisfactory. Input and output signals from the PR-99 are like this device wasn't even there, nice and clear and the proper levels. Even though the LA-40 has level adjustments I didn't need to change the stock settings. Nice unit.

Comments about Tascam LA-40mkIII 4-Channel Bidirectional Audio Converter:
It's a line amp. It acts like a line amp. But, as Tascam has always been wont to do, they have a strange bridging switch matrix that serves no purpose I can see. I hope the contacts stay clean.
