How exciting can it be, it's a vacuum filter? It works great for both color and black toner as well as any other dust. It's the only filter that Vac will take, and they are usually pricey, but B&H had the best deal.

I use this filter in a 3M Toner Vacuum which in turn I use on my color laser printer. It comes in very handy for cleaning up after refilling the toner cartridges. The filter probably cleans the air as well. The vacuum INHALES, (this site wouldn't let me use the 's' word for removing air, because of possible profanity even though it's and accurate description for a vacuum).

I've used this product for years in my work repairing Medical Electronics Equipment. I know that whatever "bugs" I vacuum up, they will stay in the canister and not get blown back into the air. When full, I have the filter autoclaved to decontaminate it before disposal. I like this vacuum so much I bought one for home as well. It's great for allergy sufferers and the vacuum attachments are great for getting in the small cracks and corners in auto interiors.
