Comments about Audio-Technica AT8022 X/Y Stereo Phantom and Battery Powered Field Microphone:
I bought the AT8022 mic for use with a Kodak Zi8 video camera to capture live recordings of acoustic fingerstyle guitar playing, because the audio quality of the built-in mic, as expected, is "so-so".
With my set-up, the audio quality of the playback is quite realistic, as if you were hearing it live. Very professional sounding results. I also love the versatility of the phantom or battery power. Only have one small negative about the mic, which is, the length of the cord with the 1/8" jack is only 2 feet in length. To get proper placement of the mic up close, and keeping the video camera at least 6 feet away, I had to buy an extension cable. Other than that, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8022 X/Y Stereo Phantom and Battery Powered Field Microphone:
I use this micro with my Sony Z5.
The internal microphone of my camera is not persuasive. With the AT8022 i habe the feeling as the sun rises. Bright, clear, three-dimensional. Only the Bass feeling ist a little bit reluctant. But a very good purchase for this price.
