Comments about Targus AMP11US Bluetooth Presenter for Mac:
I needed a laser pointer and remote control for my projector to use for slideshows and this fills the bill perfectly. The Bluetooth function is great and much more reliable than other remotes that are attached to the projector.

It works for about five slides, then has to be reset. Not worth a penny.

Comments about Targus AMP11US Bluetooth Presenter for Mac:
Excellent deal for the price.
Easy to program the buttons. I programmed one to "B" to blackout the screen. I wish I could program the other programmable button to "esc" to get out of presenter mode, but that's not an option. I'll give Targus the benefit of the doubt and not blame that on them, and assume it has something to do with Apple.
The mouse interface is convenient, but pretty clunky for fine control. I didn't downrate it for that because at this price, I consider that functionality a bonus.
The laser is fine now, though I expect it to lose power over time.
Just the right size and weight. Compact, but not miniature and easy to lose.

Targus hit a homerun with this remote. I am able to lecture for hours without having to run back to the computer to change presentations or even move back and forth from different types of multimedia. I would recommend this product for anyone giving presentations.

For the presentation that we put on. The presenter worked great. No problems with syncing up to the computer and I was able to program keys to perform the functions that I wanted.

Comments about Targus AMP11US Bluetooth Presenter for Mac:
I use it for lectures to small and medium size groups.
I like to walk around as I speak and it lets control me computer from anywhere. The blue tooth is very convenient. The only down side is that the bluetooth is linked to your laptop and you can't use it on someone else computer without doing a complete set-up on there laptop.

Comments about Targus AMP11US Bluetooth Presenter for Mac:
I can't believe I've taught for as long as I have without it! I have a MacBook Pro hooked to my projector while teaching 7th grade World Cultures. I use powerpoint in 70-80% of my lessons. My room is no testing ground for the range and I haven't experimented beyond 20 ft., but it hasn't failed me yet. Once installed in the bluetooth menu all I have to do is turn it on and within 30 seconds it's connected.
In powerpoint mode it's like any other clicker. The lazer works well and the kids love when I had it over to them so they can point out their observations on the slide. The real catch is the mouse mode.
The top two buttons are programable much like the 5 button mouse. You can even tell it to run a shortcut. I have the left click run expose and the right click as cmd+f. When using a QT video I switch from ppt mode to mouse mode, left click to run expose, select the QT window and hit right click to play it in full screen. The volume buttons come in handy when you need to adjust volume on the fly.
The optical mouse works. I'd give it a 6/10. It's cumbersome when trying to click on small targets (ie checking off boxes on an online survey). It doesn't take too long to learn how to use it. If I can, I try and get close to the computer and use the trackpad instead.
I don't know what I would do without it. It's not the smallest clicker in the business (about the size and feel of a slim twinkie--this doesn't bother me), I love that it's bluetooth (no extra parts to lose or plug in), and I have the freedom to customize the buttons.
The only thing I might ask for is a scroll wheel. When I'm browsing the web with the clicker I would love to have a scroll wheel. It's hard to left click with your thumb and use the optical mouse to move the page down.
The optical mouse is also the button for the laser. When I'm using the thumb mouse I find myself pushing on it thinking that it is the left click and I end up shooting the laser off into who knows where. I wish I could make the left button the laser and the laser button the left click.
I still think there is room for improvement, but it's the best I've used so far.
PS Why does everything for the Mac have to come in white. It always gets dirty fast, especially when I have whiteboard marker all over my finger tips!
