I now own 12 of these booms. They are great and look pro! I've used them about 20 times and have never had a problem. With all booms make sure to tighten the bolts before you transport them or else you might lose one but I never have. Great product!!!

Comments about Ultimate Support ULTI-BOOM-TB Telescopic Mic Boom:
This boom looks amazing, and all of the metal pieces are surprisingly elegant and almost too sturdy.
Unfortunately, the telescoping arm is held in the primary arm by a piece of cheap plastic, and the securing screw only goes through this plastic piece. This piece was cheap enough to break in shipping (or maybe before then) rendering the Boom completely useless.
Had the securing screw been positioned to go through the metal of the primary arm as well as the plastic piece (as other cheaper boom stands do), this could have been avoided completely.
I would gladly pay a little bit more for this Boom if they would make that simple change, until then, I would avoid this boom.

Nice boom. I bought two to go with my ultimate mic stands (the older, better style stands with a screw base that locks or unlocks the legs--why did they change?). This boom is very stable.

My wife and I use these booms with a "the Claw", it is made to attach a mic to drums. But works great to attach this boom to the music stand we use at Celtic Ceili's.
This boom is very easy to use, very strong, easy to adjust. Plus it doesn't stick out on the back end to be hit by people walking close to the stage as we some times set up close to the edge so everyone fits. We love it!

Comments about Ultimate Support ULTI-BOOM-TB Telescopic Mic Boom:
This review is written in the context of a long-time user of K&M booms; specifically, their 21120. The 21120 is (was?) a nice small, long-lasting boom that stretches to over 30", something that I need to cover keyboard and drum rigs. A lot of telescoping booms are too short for my needs. Too bad K&M is phasing it out.
The Ulti-Boom-TB is a great substitute, and actually exceeds the K&M on a couple of points: it's thicker, has a better counterbalance, and collapses to a smaller minimum length. It feels nice an heavy and doesn't wobble when directly attached to a keyboard stand. I'm not in love with the tiny adjustment knobs on the side, which is the only reason I didn't give five stars.
Pricing for this boom varies widely over the Web; B&H has the best price I found.
