Comments about Ultimate Support JS-MCFB50 Low-Level Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom:

I've been using it for kick drum mics, floor toms and snare mics. It's sturdy and small enough to get into tight spaces. Also makes a great guitar mic stand for smaller combo amps.
Like most inexpensive booms, it uses a rubber friction clutch. I much prefer a geared teeth clutch so it stays where you set it, but I haven't had any trouble keeping this stand from slipping. I haven't used any really heavy mics with it. If I did I'd add a counterweight.

Comments about Ultimate Support JS-MCFB50 Low-Level Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom:

I use this stand for recording guitars and sitting vocals.
I like the large turning knobs.
It has been a hit so far and unlike other stands that get wobbly and sketchy over long periods of use, it's been really sturdy so far.
It really is a small stand though, there will be no recording a standing adult human being.

I used this stand to mic guitar amps that sit low to the ground. It proves to be sturdy with a good center of balance so it won't tip over. Nothing negative to say about it.

Comments about Ultimate Support JS-MCFB50 Low-Level Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom:

We are usually playing KOTO, Japanese 13 strings Harp with sitting on a chair. A vocal mic stand is too big and short one still big. But this mini stand is just fit with under the KOTO, and very stable.

I got two of these stands to record kick drum and guitar cabs on the floor. It works great, not too expensive, and seems sturdy enough.
