But what you might not expect is the Toshiba's gaming mode: technology that actually improves your gaming experience by reducing controller delay. By shortening the overall signal-to-screen time, the HDTV helps make you quicker on the trigger in your favorite games.

The 22AV600 also comes with a well-rounded set of features, including: ATSC/QAM digital tuning for over-the-air and clear cable TV reception; Cinema Mode for more accurate film viewing; Native Mode that displays the 3-5% of the image that most TVs usually lose during the normal over-scanning; two HDMI digital inputs for excellent picture and sound; and two sets of component inputs.

The 22AV600 also includes a full-function remote control and a sleep timer for when you just can't make it to the end of your movie or late-night talk show. The unit comes in a high-gloss black cabinet that looks good in any room.

• 720p Resolution HD LCD Display: The crystal-clear 720p LCD display is ideal for watching standard and high-definition broadcast, cable, and satellite signals as well as your favorite movies on DVD.

• Dynamic Backlight Control: Deep blacks add richness and depth to video content. This set's DynaLight dynamic backlight control automatically strengthens the black coloring of dark areas in the video according to the specific level of darkness.

• Gaming Mode: To keep up with and respond to the action in video games, you need fast game controller response. The Toshiba's game mode is designed for playing a video game requiring split-second response between the on-screen display and input from the controller.

• Cinema Mode with 3:2 Pull-Down: Toshiba's Cinema Mode circuitry delivers a more realistic film experience by more accurately reproducing movies shot at 24 frames per second. This technology virtually eliminates errors or artifacts caused by transferring film to video.

• Native Mode: Most TVs generally lose 3-5% of the picture during the normal overscanning process. Thanks to Toshiba's Native Mode feature, none of the picture is lost.

• 2 HDMI Digital Inputs: Using any of the two HDMI inputs on the 22AV600, you'll be able to receive digital audio and uncompressed digital video from an HDMI source device, or uncompressed digital video from a DVI (Digital Visual Interface) source device. You'll be surprised at how good HD video and audio can be.

• 2 Component Inputs: If you have devices without HDMI jacks, you'll achieve a better video picture by hooking up your equipment to the set's component video input rather than to its composite input.

• 15-Pin PC Input: The 22AV600U also does double duty as a PC monitor. Just attach your PC to the 15-pin input jack, and soon you'll be enjoying video games, Internet content, and your PC files on the HDTV.

• ATSC/NTSC/QAM Digital Tuning: Your viewing choices are virtually unlimited with the Toshiba's ATSC/NTSC/QAM digital tuning system. You'll be able to receive standard cable channels, digital "clear cable" broadcasts, and over-the-air digital signals.
