I'll admit the minimalistic design is great! For all you apple users out there is perfect. A macbook air, which I purchased this stand for, fits perfectly! Unfortunately that is the only thing going for this stand.
The first cooling stand I recived was cracked during shipment so I had to return it for another. The second stand lasted about 5 months before the fan started making an ungodly noise. The adjustable bottom section has separated as a result of poor construction and constantly pops out of position. Made from metal the design would work but wood is useless and lacks structural integrity. If you're looking for some twigs to start a campfire look no further.

I had been looking for a decent laptop cooling stand for a little while before I purchased this product. I did some research into it and saw a number of good reviews mixed with a few bad ones concerning the fans going out or making too much noise.
This cooling stand however is very quiet, and even though it's plugged in most hours during the day it doesn't show any signs of going out anytime soon. The design is quite nice, with magnets holding the stand closed securely when it's not propping up my laptop. The stand also adjusts to 3 different heights, all of which are good as well.
Having a large 17 inch laptop, I am at max capacity for the stand and have happily not encountered any sort of issues with it. My only caveat is that it is a little heavy, so having it in a stationary position when in use is recommended. Other than that, it's a really cool laptop stand and I definitively recommend it for anyone looking for a somewhat higher end laptop stand with a little bit of style to it.

I use this product in my home office - laptop runs most of the day. This was SO simple to set up. I think it took me longer to open the package than to set it all up. Connected the USB and have not thought about it since. I also like the angle that my laptop now sits - makes it easier for me to to type. cool, simple and elegant product.
