The Tiffen 67mm UV Haze 1 Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. This filter is especially useful when photographing at high altitudes or around bodies of water. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.
Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting to precision metal rings.

Tiffen quality unbeatable
I live in the humid tropics. Tiffen filters are necessary in the tropics where the light is bright. The lens protects the lens and keeps it clean. There are no complaints.

Comments about Tiffen 67mm UV Haze 1 Filter:
Although my main purpose for this filter was to protect the far more expensive NIKKOR 16-85mm lens, I figured that if I had to buy a UV filter, it might as well be a good filter. Some research later, I bought the Tiffen 67mm UV Haze 1 filter. Not only does it protect my lens well, and it is far easier to clean; it also does a very good job of reducing or eliminating haze due to UV scattering - and at a cost which is similar to those of less effective filters, this is really a no-brainer for me.

It's a filter. It cuts out the UV as advertised. The threads on the filter fit well with Cannon Filter Adapter.

Comments about Tiffen 67mm UV Haze 1 Filter:
it looks great - no problems - it mainly for lens protection - but with added haze at a good price - threads worked well - I always puta small drop or 2 of Synthetic oil - (doesn't dry out and gum-up the threads)to be sure the threads don't lock - looks to be a good buy -

This 67mm filter by Tiffen has done a great job for me on my 18-135mm Canon lens. It attached perfectly and I've gotten great results with my pictures. The price was also right. Great filter and I would buy this product again.

Comments about Tiffen 67mm UV Haze 1 Filter:
Although this is intended as a haze cutting filter (which it does do), I primarily use it to protect the lens (both from dirt and moisture and from damage). This product replaces another that gave its all doing just that. After a day using my camera on a wine tasting trip, my camera bag got bumped and the camera fell out. It landed lens down. The lens was fine, but the filter was shattered. That's why I always have a filter on the lens.

Comments about Tiffen 67mm UV Haze 1 Filter:
This filter works quite well. Most importantly it is sturdy. I purposely chose the D7000 over other cameras because of its construction, and my habit of knocking things around. This filter is perfect in that respect. In fact, what happen the very first time i tried to place this on my camera? You guessed it! I dropped it from about 4 feet of the ground. It eventually made it onto my lens and is still in use.
