Comments about RPS Lighting RSRT06N10 Deluxe Digital Wireless Shutter Release:

System works like a charm. Unlike other comments I have read, I have no difficulty connecting the 10 pin plug to a Nikon D3. The hardest thing there is to do is put the batteries in the receiver unit. It's a pooch! Poor latching mechanism...hard to operate.

Comments about RPS Lighting RSRT06N10 Deluxe Digital Wireless Shutter Release:

I'm an "old retired dude" who has learned to appreciate well made products that are both useful and dependable. This digital wireless shutter release from B&H is used on a Nikon D300s. No I don't use it on every shot but why pay high dollars for a good camera, expensive lenses, and then shoot pictures that are a bit 'fuzzy' because of camera shake! For better pictures (1) Determine what you want (2) Control the depth-of-field (3) Shoot a steady picture. Tripods CANNOT guarantee steadiness in the final product - whether standing next to the camera or in most nature shots at a distance – get your hands off the camera.

We are totally pleased with this remote release and consider it well worth the investment towards a steady exposure. (If you disagree with this point of view just go ahead continuing to put hard earned dollars into expensive equipment – continuing to shoot from the hip and be on your gleeful shaky way!)

I USE THIS PRODUCT WITH ACTION SHOTS OF BIRDS. THE RANGE IS GOOD SO I AM NO WHERE NEAR THE SUBJECT. IT IS BETTER THAT HAVING A CORD ATTACHED TO THE CAMERA.

Comments about RPS Lighting RSRT06N10 Deluxe Digital Wireless Shutter Release:

I had the Nikon ML-3 which requires the receiver and transmitter to be in line of view, otherwise it will not work - besides you have to be relatively close to the camera. This one is easy to use, and works all the time. Best of all I do not have to be close or in line of view of the receiver mounted on the camera. I can hide behind a wall or rock to shoot an insect or animal, and it works. I have not measured the distance from the camera to the transmitter but certainly it works further away than anything else I have tried, including the Hahnel. For the price and for the amateur or semi-professional this is it. With my Nikon D200 I can shoot continously.

Comments about RPS Lighting RSRT06N10 Deluxe Digital Wireless Shutter Release:

Works well but the connectors do not fit the Nikon D3 or D2X well - very tight; Also, make sure the mini connectors are well connected (pushed in to one another completely) or it will not release your shutter!
