This Dot-Line Deluxe Digital Remote Shutter Release is a wireless radio transmitter and receiver set that is designed to work with the Canon 2.5mm connector as found on the EOS Rebel T1i, Rebel XS, Rebel XSi, Rebel Xti, & Rebel X digital cameras.
The remote possesses a maximum broadcast range of 100' under optimal conditions, and features a two-position switch, for focusing operation or shutter release. A direct line of sight is not required unlike optical or infra-red triggers. The "deluxe" version of this Dot Line remote features a digital display that indicates which one of the four radio channels is currently in use.

The surprise is that when it is attached to the camera (in my case a Canon Rebel XSi), and all steps followed to activate it, it actually works as described. I was impressed with its capability. When I first removed the contents from its packaging I had my doubts about the system because of the cheaply appearance of the plastic housing. After I connected it to my camera I learned that it operates as described. I recommend it to anyone who requires remote camera operations.
