  • Keeps Camera Free from Dust and Dirt
  • Reduces Shutter Noise
  • Helps Maintain Resale Value
  • Easy to Install / Remove

The digital camo BodyGuard Pro with Clear Back (Clear Back) from LensCoat is a touch fastened, shock-absorbing neoprene cover that can extend the life of your camera and also maintain its resale value by providing a way to protect it from scratches, dings and bumps. It also serves to keep dust, dirt, fingerprints and other contaminants away from your camera body and lens. The beauty of the BodyGuard Pro CB is that there is a clear back that allows you to maintain contact with most buttons and switches. As a bonus, it can also serve as a noise damper since it will reduce shutter noise.

There are cleverly designed finger access slits on the side that permit you to reach other controls on the camera. Shooting is not an issue since you can either push down on the neoprene or reach the shutter by sliding your finger under the cover. The unit is easily installed or removed especially when you need to change batteries. Access to using your flash and camera strap are never a problem with the BodyGuard Pro.

This model of the BodyGuard Pro CB (Clear Back) is designed to carry a pro D-SLR camera body with lens attached. It will also accommodate a prosumer body with the optional body grip installed. Digital Camo is an advanced computer generated camouflage pattern. It is modeled after the U.S. Army's standard-issue ACU pattern, which provides a pixilated pattern that maximizes visual break up. The pattern, constructed from small rectangular pixels of color, mimics naturally occurring dappled textures and rough boundaries.

This product does every thing it is designed to do. As a cover,it functions well and is well made. My hope was that it would also work somewhat like a camera blimp and muffle shutter noise while still access camera controls. No noticeable sound muffling, however. Otherwise as a camera cover it could help in wet weather, but not as complete water proofing.

I love the other products these guys make, but this one just doesn't do it. It looks like you can just shoot away with it on but it is nearly impossible and most controls are hidden. It does an excellent job of protecting when transporting, but requires removing the camera strap to take off the neoprene cover. I do use Camera Armor on my D200 and will wait for their version for my new D3s which I DO want to protect and USE while shooting.

Will fit most cameras with a batter grip. It does a good job at keeping your camera warm when shooting in cold conditions. Really good for shooting in snowy weather.

Comments about BodyGuard Pro with Clear Back (Realtree Max4 HD):

Purchased to provide protection for 5D body in backpack. Was too big for camera body, and material was far to thin for the protection I had in mind. Probably excellent for camo only uses, and does provide very light protection. Expensive for the thin material. Customer service was very good, though.

Good idea but does not fit Canon 1Dx very well. Too tight. Many controls are covered and one must guess where they are. Cannot fit thumb inside the slots and under neopreme for access without really extreme effort. Might work well for non pro body or another model.

I bought this because I shoot on a Horse Sanctuary in a dusty windy South Dakota location. It fit the camera body just fine. The only modification I made was velcro to the front to keep it closed tightly, this helped in preventing accidental slipping of the cover. Other than that very easy to use.

I have a lenscoat cover for every single lens I own. From 14mm all the way through the big 800mm. I love them. Unfortunately I can't say the same about this product. It's extremely difficult to use and change setting on your camera with this attached. If you're looking for something to transport the camera this would ok, but it's not good for daily use in the field.

Comments about BodyGuard Pro with Clear Back (Realtree Max4 HD):

Well it is not specified to fit the Sony A77 but it fits it just fine and offers a fine protection against dust and perticipation (not so much as heavy rain).
You have to get used to fidle the controls through the finger holes or through the neopren. For sure your performance (time wise) to change settings on the camera will degrade. But if you want to use your camera in rougher conditions and protect it, there are some trade-offs.
If you want to use it with the camera straps, it is not practicable to put the BodyGuard on and off, since you have to "re-strap" the camera all the time. In that department, there is some improvemet for a future redesign of the BodyGuard.

I have a camera bracket and an after-market eye piece on the camera.
