I used the WP610 to take my Leica D-Lux 4 snorkelling in the ocean & it worked great. The lens clarity of the case cap was very good & I got great pictures both in & out of the water with the camera in it. The underwater pictures will require some curves adjustments, but that is because of the water clarity & lighting, not the case.

With the camera lens at the full wide setting I didn't notice any vignetting at all, & there was plenty of room between the camera lens & case lens/cap that i didn't have to worry about it pushing against (do not add the cap extension if you use this model of camera). Also, it was buoyant enough that I didn't have to worry about losing it if I dropped it overboard, or let go while swimming as I didn't squeeze all of the air out of it before sealing.

It was a bit of a tight fit for the camera, & the small foam piece that is provided for padding could have been better if it was the full length of the case, but it wasn't a show stopper by any means. Also, the buttons/dials on the camera were a bit hard to get at, but once I figured out the "tricks" it worked out well. It would have been nice if the cap housing didn't block the onboard flash if it was required, but luckily I didn't need it.

A larger version of this case that could accomodate the hot shoe flash that accompanies my D-Lux would be a great addition to the line, but I got great pictures without it.

For the price & my needs, it was a great addition to my pack without having to give up image quality, or having to spend a mint on a metal housing.

    Did a great job

Used it on a raft trip during a rainstorm. Difficult to use camera controls, and had cut off when using wide angle. A shorter lens cover would work better with the G11.

Comments about DiCAPac WP610 Waterproof Underwater Case:

I used it with Olympus E-PM1 which has pretty long lens in working position. Of course there's no zooming or manual focus avail - no access to zoom ring. And I had to remove lens every time I slide it into the case. Used it for snorkeling for 7 days, under heavy rain and at last - took it on diving (16m x 50 min). Not a single water drop inside, though for diving it's useless as water perssure squese the bag so that all camera buttons were pressed, but sealing is perfect.
I should have bought bigger case as there is no room for flash.

Pros: protection is good enough for up to 16m depth, case is flexible to use camera controls except manual zoom/focus (you shoud use case for SLRs for that)

Cons: Camera lens moves free inside extension ring and catch its corners; cannot see a thing on LED display through PVC under the sun; got fog inside too often (silicagel bag won't work and mask spray is no good for camera). "UV multicoated filter" is a myth (try UV lamp to check)

Resume: good for beginners or startup cameras, won't recommend for SLR or if you care about picture quality (glass quality is questionable)

This production is very great! When our family traved to Niagara Falls, it helped us a lot. When we take the ship to the cascades at the foot of the great waterfall, its performance is very good, because we don't have to worry about the camera has its protection by huge water wet, broken. We can go to the filming unscrupulous beauty and spectacular waterfalls, regret not to let our journey. When the others see us with envy, I really appreciate B&H company give me help and their timely delivery and warm service. Thank you so much!

Comments about DiCAPac WP610 Waterproof Underwater Case:

I used the case with a Nikon 7700 with a couple problems that can easily be fixed. The first issue was when zooming all the way in (lens full extension) it would sometimes error out because of hitting the plastic lens of the case. The supplied tube extension would fix this but make the next problem unfixable. When going wide angle (lens fully retracted) the edge of the lens tube of the case would be in the images.
I will make a thin pad for the front of the camera to make room for full lens extension and make a pad to fit between the back of the camera and case to keep the case lens tube out of the frame.
The case was water tight to a foot under the surface, as expected. I would not attempt any deeper without many test plunges.

I used this with an Olympus E-P2 while snorkeling, and it took great pictures. This is a great cheap option for taking water photos, and also just for protecting your camera when at the beach etc. My camera fit in the case pretty well, though the thickness and durability of it makes using the controls on the top of the camera somewhat awkward. I also took it on a shallow scuba dive and the case remained airtight. Unfortunately my camera didn't work - maybe the vacuumed state of the case allowed too much pressure on the camera controls? Luckily it recovered when I got back to the surface...

Comments about DiCAPac WP610 Waterproof Underwater Case:

I called originally to get an underwater housing for my Panny Lumix DMC-ZS7, and the product expert suggested I get the Dicapak instead. A nice alternative to a 250$ housing. Now there are downsides to the Dicapak.

1> Fit fit fit. I had to mess around with mine, cutting foam inserts of my own, to get my camera to center in the Dicapaks lens. Even still, I'd suggest you run some zoom, as even with my careful fitting, if I'm not slightly zoomed, the lens shows up.

2> The expert did not recommend silica paks for moisture/condensation. I bought the Aquapak 905's and the EWA marine rechargeable packs. Either works fine. The EWA's can be recharged 5 times in an oven at 130D if I recall correctly.

I'd also suggest you look into the "Auto Magic" filter. I did alot of research and found this. They work really well.

The Dicapak's work fine for snorkeling.

The plastic is so strong that mekes it difucult to perate the controls so set the camera first. The camera will be safe from the water but you have to deal with the lens and cover to take pictures. So take your time.

This seems to fit though I trimmed the foam pad so it was narrower. Otherwise, the camera tended to roll a bit, getting out of alignment. I haven't tested the waterproof character but it looks like that should be good.
It is possible to operate main controls though of course is more cumbersome than without the bag.

I used this case last week with my new Canon powershot sx130 camera while snorkeling in the Virgin Islands. The case worked and I got some good shots. There weren't any leaks. I don't know how long this case will last, but I don't snorkel that much. It can be a bit tricky to use the zoom with this case, but it can be done. My pictures and video came out great. The main problem is that you cannot see the display underwater, so you have to just point the camera and shoot. From what I have read this can be a problem with any digital camera underwater, not an issue related to this particular case. For an inexpensive underwater case that you will use occasionally this does the job.

Attractively priced. The case is a bit snug for a GF1 with 20/1.7, but the camera and lens fit. Controls are mostly accessible.

I wanted an underwater case for my point and shoot Lumix, mostly for video. I was really pleased with the results. Got some great underwater shots even for the wide lens. A little awkward working the dials through the plastic but mostly managed OK. Tough to view camera screen underwater but my guess-timates worked out ok. Overall sturdy and inexpensive option for underwater shooting.

Comments about DiCAPac WP610 Waterproof Underwater Case:

I use this with my Nikon P7000 camera that I take with me on fly fishing trips to shoot snapshots and the occasional keeper. The Semi-compact Nikon is small enough that it doesn't get in the way and the waterproof cover gives good protection for the camera without adding too much bulk.
The size of the case is just about right but there are a couple of things that you have to contend with: 1) The plastic is very thick and it is not easy to operate dials or levers on the camera so get those set before you put it in the case. 2)The shortest snout supplied with the camera is not shallow enough to allow the widest zoom position unless you are careful to position the lens in the center to avoid vignetting.
All in all the case has performed well and I am very happy with it

Comments about DiCAPac WP610 Waterproof Underwater Case:

Used it on a raft trip during a rainstorm. Difficult to use camera controls, and had cut off when using wide angle. A shorter lens cover would work better with the G11.

I bought this water proof case so we could take pictures on the Maid of the Mist boat in Niagara Falls. We were soaked through from head to toe despite our "Maid of the Mist" ponchos... however, my camera stayed bone dry and captured amazing pictures as we were getting drenched by Niagara Falls!
