Comments about Sachtler 0750 FSB-8T Tripod System with Speed Lock 75 Tripod:
I bought this as a spare when my Video 20 stix were being used.Although it is rated at a 20lb weight limit it still holds up pretty well with even more weight. I can use it with my F3 or my 5D. It performs very smoothly. The only complaint I have is with the middle spreader. I would like for it to extend wider and fold up easier. With a big camera on top you need to be extra careful because it is top heavy.I was given a Cartoni Focus Tripod as a loaner while waiting for 8T to come in.This tripod is far superior to the Cartoni and it is rated at 26lbs. The spring in the Sachtler is much stronger, it is also $ more. All though I wouldn't recommend it I have used it as a lock down Tripod for my F800r.For an EX3,FS100 or HDSLR with added weight it is a fantastic tripod. You get what you pay for!

Great regulations, smooth movement, good for almost anything, downside: small spreader.

Comments about Sachtler 0750 FSB-8T Tripod System with Speed Lock 75 Tripod:
I'm a video professional producing mainly corporate communications pieces in a wide variety of locations.
My immediate impression is that this is a solid, well-built system that lives up to it's formidable reputation. I will be using it with a Sony EX3 (when it comes into stock) but in the meantime am using it with a Sony EX1.
It doesn't balance prefectly with the EX1 (both via the snap plate balance and the 10-step counterbalance adjustment)and in hindsight I wondered whether I should have gone with the side-load plate that gives more balance adjustment on the plate. If sticking with the EX1 and the "T" head I wouold seriously consider getting the base plate accessory that has more centre of gravity 'wiggle room'.
Will be keen to see what difference the EX3 makes...
But overall very happy with the tripod and head.

Comments about Sachtler 0750 FSB-8T Tripod System with Speed Lock 75 Tripod:
I use the tripod as a professional videographer. I shoot with the 5d on video clips, fiction films and documentary.
I really enjoy using this tripod for its size, its speed and its lightweightness.
The only problen I have with it is that its handle is a bit cheap, the handle arm keeps moving even if its in locked position.

If you are purchasing this tripod to be used with a Sony PMW-350K XD Cam, you will also need to purchase a Sony VCT-U14 tripod adapter. All-in-all a very nice tripod.

Comments about Sachtler 0750 FSB-8T Tripod System with Speed Lock 75 Tripod:
I bought this primarily to use with my EX1R which is not a heavy camera but by spending a bit more this gives me more flexibility should I need to use it with a larger camera. For years I used a Sachtler 20 plus where I used to work without problems and while Sachtlers are not the cheapest tripod out there, in my experience they are one of the best. The FSB-8T is very smooth and easy to balance and you have to love the illuminated bubble. The CF 75 legs give a good range of motion and are quick to set to the proper height while feeling quite solid on pans.
