Not just for jazzercise, these Gitzo Leg Warmers technically do nothing to retain heat in the tripod legs. Rather, the warmers insulate your hand from the radiated cold temperature of the tripod tubing when shooting in cold climates.
Additionally, this closed-cell foam tripod accessory acts as a cushioned buffer when hoisting a camera and tripod on your shoulder for extended periods, all while protecting the tubes from impact and scratches.

Comments about Gitzo Series 1 or 2 Tripod Leg Warmers - Photo Black (Set of 3):
I got these for my G1128 (which I've had for years) mostly to provide cushioning when I carry the tripod in the Gitzo GC3320 tripod belt carrier and ride my motorbike to location. They prevent the tripod's carbon legs from hitting the side of the bike and so avoid scratches. Otherwise in use, they do not affect the performance of the tripod at all. I can see if I had a longer-legged tripod that this kind of cushioning would probably make toting it over my shoulder with camera attached as I walked less uncomfortable as well.
I would have given 5 stars but that for three pieces of leatherette vinyl with velcro they are sort of expensive.

Comments about Gitzo Series 1 or 2 Tripod Leg Warmers - Photo Black (Set of 3):
When you need to shoulder the burden, even when your carbon fiber tripod is not so burdensome, Gitzo's knee-high stockings will soften the weight of Tripod/Ballhead/Camera/Lens.
Dare to have the best-dressed Tripod!
