I have been looking for a roller bag that would hold my backpack plus extras. This one pulls with ease and rolls smooth. I removed the backpack insert and will carry my own backpack inside for traveling. This works well for me so I don't have to find room for the backpack in my luggage. I haven't actually gotten to use it on a trip yet but I know it is THE ticket. I was using the Pelican 179 until I purchased a larger backpack and it wouldn't hold it. I am excited about the locking cable on it. The tripod mount is in the front middle and not on the side where it is in the way when you roll it down the airlplane aisle. Also, your lap top slides into a pouch on the exterior and is very easy to remove for security. I didn't like having a laptop case that unzips from the bag like before, it made the bag too bulky and tipsy.

I love Lowepro bags. I have several different models and sizes but I was in need of a roller bag to carry more equipmewnt without hurting my back. I first considered getting a rolling bag designed for women to look more chic but decided practicality and reliability was more important.
It is a very clever design and can hold a lot of photo equipment in its main compartment. However, I found that the additional zippered pockets are not as generous. There is very little room for anything else I was able to squeeze in a file folder, and foldable reflector but in no way could have gotten a laptop in there too. Maybe an ipad or netbook would fit but definitely not a laptop. Also, I wish the "kick stand" on the back was sturdier, when it is filled with equipment it is pretty unstable. I love having a lock on it and the option to unzip to a backpack if the carry on capacity is too large is nice. So all in all, good design but not perfect.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Case:
I originally purchased the Lowepro 250aw roller for the cheaper price tag. When I got it, it fit most of my gear but wasn't as deep as I would have liked. I quickly made the decision to jump to the x200. I was very satisfied. Initially it was a little bit larger and the rolling handle to pull the case was a lot more sturdy than the 250aw. I managed to fit two bodies with grips, the trinity lenses, 5 primes, 3 speed lights, and my radio poppers. The security TSA lock gave me security when I left my roller case in my hotel room. The back pack capability is also a great addition.

I was looking for a bag that would carry two cameras and several lenses. Although I have other bags, this is the only one that holds all my equipment neatly, and within easy reach. All this equipment translates into more than I want to carry, making the roller bag perfect. Others had concerns about the wheels, but they are replaceable, so I am not concerned. I lke the bag very much so far.

I use this for transport, but the ability to convert to backpack is great. I have a Canon 4ti with a 100-400mm lens, and a Canon 5D MKIII with 24X70 2.8 lens. Both have extra batter holder attachments. Plus one more lens, three flash units, accessories, charges and all my manuals when I forget how to operative stuff. In addition a pro mic for video recording. Great bag, and fits in the overhead of all major carriers.

I like this case - it is roomy, solid and padded well. I wish it was not so heavy, and the handle is very wobbly, but other than that I am happy with it.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Case:
Case is solid and well padded to protect my gear, just as I expected from Lowpro. The slots are easy to customize. I like the locking mechanism, very convenient and I think it is just about as secure as a bag lock can get.
I was disappointed to find the "Kickstand" is very wobbly, I wouldn't use it and have the case open at the same time. The handle isn't of the best quality either, when fully extended it wobbles and feels like it may fall off. The camera mount on the end of the handle is an interesting idea, but again, the handle is so wobble I would NEVER put my camera up there, maybe a flash, but never a camera. I still don't know how to use the tripod holder, there are no directions explaining how to use it. And btw, there is a 3 sided cushion in the bag that no one seems to know what it is for.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Case:
Construction seems to be fine but as others have stated a) The front pockets are WORTHLESS, no way you can get anything thicker than an iPad in there. b) The "kickstand" behind the case would not do very much to stand it up with any form of weight in it. c) For the money spent I had expected at least a simple rain hood to be included, I had thought I had seen it in the description but I must have been incorrect, one is not included. Otherwise it seems of good quality, just, let's start loading it and see how it holds up.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Case:
I now have one case that fits all my equipment;
Nikon D800e, 70-200 2.8, 24-70 2.8 14-24 2.8 and 105 2.8 also one 2x TC and 2 sb910's and triggers. Plus filters and other stuff. It is heavy to begin with and that's why I gave the 4 stars, I think with the materials available today they could have made a lighter case. But overall, it has a lot of space and the protection is excellent. Open the case and all your equipment is easily accessible.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Case:
A photographer colleague has one and when I saw it I almost went out of my mind! I wish I had one years ago and I couldn't get one fast enough. I had been looking for a long time for my new case to hold all my DSLR gear and portable flashes for a long time, and I am super picky. After seeing the quality and functionality in person, I was sold. I use mine on all commercial shoots, and for travel. It is exceptionally well thought out and laid out. The little doo-dad pouch is excellent for radio slaves and sync cords. When I go out to shoot on a small scale, I just grab the lenses, body, flash, and the nifty little pouch and move it to my shoulder bag. I doubt I will ever mount a flash to the handle mount though... That just looks like someone tried to squeak one more feature into an otherwise awesome piece of equipment. It's a little on the pricey side but all good quality gear is.
