Comments about Avenger A0025B 8.2' Baby Alu Stand 25 with Leveling Leg (Black):
As a photographer that shoots in outdoor locations daily this stand saves the day with the leveling leg and beefy construction. I like a heavier light stand because it's less likely that the wind will blow it over, but would still sandbag them if using an umbrella of any kind.

Comments about Avenger A0025B 8.2' Baby Alu Stand 25 with Leveling Leg (Black):
This medium-weight light stand with leveling-leg is just what I needed. Any time I shoot outdoors or on-location, I take this stand with me. I use it with a shoe-mounted flash adapter, flash and umbrella for indoor location work, or with a softbox in place of the umbrella for outdoor shoots (umbrellas don't tolerate wind well!). The leveling leg makes it ideal for setting it up on uneven terrain as is often encountered outdoors. The wide leg footprint is very stable with my lighting apparatus attached, even at its full 8.2' height. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to its weight. Although less than half of the weight of most light stands you will find with a leveling-leg, it is still about twice the weight of those without.

this solves the problem of working on uneven ground - the one leg that extends will keep the stand vertical
