The Elinchrom EL 26186 69" Rotalux Octa Softbox is one of the most popular of the Elinchrom light banks, as the octagonal shape gives remarkably even illumination--within 1/3 f/stop across the entire nearly 6' diameter. It can be used very close to your subject for soft, even wrap-around light, and its light efficiency helps even small compact units give impressive exposure readings. The Octa comes with a durable carrying case for protection and portability.

Comments about Elinchrom EL 26186 69" Rotalux Octa Softbox:
I needed an affordable but effective solution for a larger, even, effective light source. The EL 69" Rotolux is perfect. Good quality, great functionality and a good value. The speed ring fits effortlessly on my Elinchrom monolights and the rotating collar (which can be locked), is a fantastic feature. It's a bit large and takes some effort / patience to put together, but I expected as much and it's something I can do on my own.

Great big box for very soft light. Will need a few sandbags for use outside. A challenge to assemble by yourself the first time but I suspect it will get easier with practice. Seems solid. Very portable. I will be able to use it as a backdrop for high key photos.

Amazing light from this octa. It is very smooth and is easily modified by using or not using internal diffusion, external diffusion, and the interior deflector. You can change the mood of a shot in fifteen seconds!

I have had several issues in the past with unruly softboxes. This is easy to put together and breakdown, and gives a gorgeous, soft, quality of light. I feel it is priced fairly for the quality of the materials from which it is made.

Real nice octabox. Since Broncolor don't make octaboxes i bought this and modified the speed ring for use with my Broncolor strobes. It worked very well and is a nice tool when i don't want to bring my Para.
The Rotalux is well made and folds down like an umbrella. I has a two cloth design, so you can choose if you want soft or extra soft look, thanks to Elinchroms design you also can use this almost as an large beutydish. It comes with the best softboxbag i have seen so far!

There is not much to say about this box, it's simply beautiful light. It's a big soft box and it does great job.
Having the size in mind it wasn't too difficult to assemble it, but you might need a second pear of hands to help you with it.

This is a huge step up from my little Elinchrom Portalites, so soft, so even. Love the design, two layers of diffusers as well as a white deflector for the flash tube in the middle. This soft box is well constructed, versatile and easy to set up once you have practiced it a couple of times.
There are so many ways this large soft box can be used it is amazing. Make sure you have counter weight because it is not really light once set up and sandbag on the light stand. Like many other Elinchrom soft boxes, this Rotalux comes with a custom carry bag which is fantastic.

Comments about Elinchrom EL 26186 69" Rotalux Octa Softbox:
Very well made, and reliable modifier. The light is super soft and even, it's honestly hard to use wrong. Set up and tear down are not so bad considering how huge this thing is. The included case is also very nice. I've used it in the studio, and taken it up the sides of mountains, and it's held up great. Be sure to have a big assistant holding it if using it in the wind.
All in all, a great deal for the price.

Hugh soft box that gives the best light.
Difficult to set up because it is so big and difficult to place on the light but very good soft box.

Comments about Elinchrom EL 26186 69" Rotalux Octa Softbox:
This thing is almost the size of an octalight, so with both diffusers in it is a great big soft light perfect for 2 or more people. With a translucent deflector and no diffusers it is like a huge beauty light.
I find set up and take down to be no problem. The included speed ring is very straight forward.

Comments about Elinchrom EL 26186 69" Rotalux Octa Softbox:
Other than the fact that this modifier is incredibly difficult to put together, and take apart it works amazingly well. It's so large that it can act as both key and background light for a mid-key photo. I've only had a couple of shoots since having it so far, but I can see that it will be used a lot in the future.

Comments about Elinchrom EL 26186 69" Rotalux Octa Softbox:
I'm impressed with the design of the Octa box and its beautiful quality of light. The quick-release speed ring is a great device that makes set-up and take down a breeze. This 69'' Rotalux is a essential part of my lighting scheme and it replaces my large chimera for shooting people. This is a top quality product but be gentle with the fabric as I have already managed to poke a hole in it. If you need a large soft light source that wraps around the subject, this is the softbox for you.
Comments about Elinchrom EL 26186 69" Rotalux Octa Softbox:
The octabox is bigger than I realized but works great! Putting it together was a challenge if you are doing it by yourself.
