Very powerful little speedlight for the price point! The only complaint I have is it will ONLY work when attached to the hotshoe on a camera. It will not work with the wireless hotshoe trigger I have, yes it has an optical wireless trigger built in but those only work in perfect lighting conditions where the sensor can "see" whatever, infrared/flash, trigger it needs. I found it very odd that it also wouldn't work with an off camera TTL cord.

This flash is fantastic. It is relatively small and light and is well worth the cost. I would give it five stars; however, I gave it one star because it is not compatible with manual lenses, such as pre-ai, ai, and ai-s lenses. You can put the flash in manual mode to use with a manual lens, but the screen will say that the "Flash is in TTL mode. Choose another setting or use a CPU lens." The flash tells the camera that it is using a TTL mode when it isn't, so it will not work with manual lenses. I use manual lenses 90% of the time, so this flash becomes useless for me. If you use all TTL lenses, which are lenses that meter and have autofocus and such things, this flash is absolutely fantastic and I strongly recommend it. But if you want to use it with manual lenses, it will not work so do not buy it.

Comments about Nissin Di-466 Shoe Mount Digital Speedlight For Nikon AF Cameras with i-TTL:
Besides the ability to synch off shoe, this little big boy does everything you need for a quick fill in light when big guns are not available. It is easy to use and works with all Nikon D3000 functions in-synch. For the money, the best light-weight speedlight available. Definitely a recommend to other hobby/amateur photographers out there.

Bought the 466 for a Nikon D40 with a broken onboard flash. Well-built, lightweight, very powerful, well...you get the idea. I shot night time pics of a couple going to a VD Sweetheart dance. This flashgun lit up an alley as if it was broad daylight. Would purchase again in a heartbeat. Well worth the asking price and even better was the fact it was on sale $20 cheaper then normal.

Mounted this on a Nicon D90 in auto mode works great. But in other modes there seems to be a slight delay from the time the shutter is engaged and between the photo and flash. Taking action pictures this is not a good combination.
