Comments about Sanus XF228 Full-Motion Wall Mount:
TV mount is extremely heavy and well made. The lag bolts that screw into the wall studs are 10/32", and it is recommended that you use a 7/32" drill bit for a pilot hole. This is bad advice...the hole is too small and there is too much torque on the lag bolt as you screw it in, causing breakage! I recommend using a 1/4" bit to drill the pilot hole. The extra 1/32" really makes a difference! The other criticism is that the tilt adjustment of the mount (to tilt the screen up or downwards, not CW or CCW) may not hold its setting, especially with heavier TVs, especially if you frequently make adjustments to the overall TV positioning by moving the mount arms. There is a set screw that is supposed to lock down the tilt adjustment, but it is impossible to get in place? I have this mount at an elevation of 9' in my bedroom, holding a 60" flat screen, and it looks great.
