I have been DJing for 15 years from Bars & Large Clubs to Weddings and other corporate events and have tried numerous other controllers. I am very impressed with this Laptop Stand. It is a sturdy item and hold my Laptop at the perfect height above my MIDI Controller. I would recommend this product to any DJ looking to go mobile.

The product is poorly manufactured. I had to return the stand because the thin metal supports are made of a very thinly gauged steel [...] The threading on one of the horizontal rods that tied the stand together was miss threaded so that the rod doesn't fully thread into the knob at the end. Customer service was helpful and sent me authorization immediately to return the product the first time and I think they would do it again if I was to return it again.

Since I always use an external keyboard and mouse with my computer, I have long-wanted to get my laptop screen at eye level. With this laptop stand, my wait is over.
Designed with DJs in mind (I guess they put mixers under their computers at gigs), this stand turned my shelf into a stand-up desk. Sure you can do it yourself, but this is inexpensive enough to make that unnecessary.

The first unit I received came with a stripped screw so the unit was not sturdy at all. I told B&H Photo that one of the screws was stripped on the DJ stand and they first told me to contact Odyssey directly for a replacement screw. They gave me the number to Odyssey and none of the representatives returned my calls so I asked B&H for an exchange and within an hour I received a shipping return label. I was able to get a new DJ stand within four business days and now I am very happy with the new one and with B&H Photo for their great customer service. I have since made another purchase from B&H Photo because I appreciate how they conduct business. The unit (when all the screws work) is as sturdy as the Stanton Uberstand sturdy and for the price the Odyssey unit is a steal.

I'm giving this item 5 stars because its functional, light, durable/sturdy, and best of all cheap! The assembly is very easy and doesn't take more than 8 minutes. The height is adjustable so you're not stuck with a one-height fits all set up. And I was even surprised at how sturdy the product was. All the negative reviews had me worried, but I'm glad I took a chance. I highly recommend this stand it looks and works great!

To be clear, this is the Odyssey stand, but it does not say Odyssey anywhere on the stand. The stand works fine, but is a bit wobbly on its own. I duct tape it to the table I use when I'm spinning. Fits a 15" Macbook Pro just fine. [...] after a few gigs, it's working just fine. Also, despite what some others say, it really isn't that hard to put together. It takes a few minutes, but it's far from the hardest piece of equipment I've assembled.

I obtained this laptop stand as an addition to my digitial DJing rig. I am definitely impressed with how stable it is given the price. The only complaint that I have is that the plastic washers that were included with it, are not the greatest. I've already broken one securing the stand to a custom riser I built for my Pioneer mixer. All in all, this is a very stable stand for a low, low price especially when you compare it the something like the Crane.

For the price, I can't complain. It took me a second to get it put together, and seemed like it was going to be super flimsy, but it does a pretty decent job once the computer is on there. I wouldnt recommend it for touring in the slightest, but for your home studio it would work perfect for the price point.

I use Scratch Live and need my laptop in front of my face, right above my mixer. this does the trick, and for super cheap. it is lightweight but sturdy enough to skratch on your mixer and not have it wobble around.

Upon opening the package of this product I was a bit disappointed. It looked cheap and very unstable. However, after assembling it, I realized it was really a great, basic design. It was a bit unstable at first, but once I put my laptop on it, it worked great. I maybe wouldn't use this stand for live shows (unless you have a sturdy table to put it on), but on my desk at home it works great to maximize space for gear, not to mention it prevents my laptop from overheating. Overall, it was a fantastic buy. I highly recommend it.
