Steadybag allows fast, rock-solid shooting on any surface, eliminating time-consuming tripod setup. It conforms to any uneven surface bringing a new freedom to location still and video photography. Steadybag is filled with custom-milled polypropylene beads in an outer casing made of rugged waterproof expedition-grade nylon, and it comes with a padded shoulder strap.
If you use the Arca-Swiss type system of quick release camera and/or lens plates (from Acratech, Arca-Swiss, Foba, Novoflex or Wimberley) and seek the ultimate stability upon a beanbag, you'll find it by attaching two Wimberley Module 1 quick release arms (B&H item code "WIM1") to the quick release plate. Connected to the quick release plate so that the arms face in opposite directions, a snowshoe-like foot is created which makes switching the camera from horizontal/vertical within the lens collar a cinch.

This works will to support a camera in many different situations. Have used to shoot driving scenes and way less bumpy footage. Also can use to steady a tripod or shoot different low angles.

I bought this and it´s fantastic. Just put them on the ground and put your slider on top of them and you are ready to go! You can also put them on top of your dolly for extra weight and stabilization! I recomend the steadybags! I bought two!

Comments about Visual Departures SB1 Model I Steadybag:
I wasn't sure if this would be too big or that useful on a recent safari trip but it turned out to be perfect. It was easy to get good, sharp photos using my telephoto lens. The best part was the ability to change the angle of the shot by moving the bag a bit. Using the side of the vehicle meant you had to hold the base of the camera. Well worth taking with you and the strap is handy given it's size.

Comments about Visual Departures SB1 Model I Steadybag:
This is a must have for those low angle ground shots, especially if you need to work with a low shutter speed. It can take you to places a tripod never can. Most ingenious. I wish I would have thought of it. :)
