Pearstone Accessory Shoe Adapter w/ 1/4"-20 Stud Connector
This Pearstone Accessory Shoe Adapter has a 1/4"-20 threaded stud on the bottom and "cold" flash shoe on the top, and is designed for use with an auxiliary flash or accessory. The locking ring affixes this shoe to the device you screw it in to. It is ideally suited for use with camera brackets, tripods, or light stand with a 1/4"-20 threaded socket.

This shoe adapter fits nice and snug on the stud and doesn't come lose like some of the other solution adapters I have tried over the years for other cameras.
I used it on my new Canon XF100 Video Camera to mount a wireless mic receiver and there is no give or play in the fit.
My only complaint is the same complaint I have with many of these second market solutions. It costs twice what I think it should and I am disappointed Canon didn't include such an adapter in the box with the camera.
I recommend the product and don't know of anyone else who has anything as stable or as practical.

This little adaptor works to mount a light or other shoe style attachment when all you have is a 1/4 20 mounting hole without a shoe mount. The base and tightening ring are made of plastic so it feels a little cheap but it will do the job.
