Comments about Fujitsu S1500M ScanSnap Sheet-Fed Scanner for Mac Computers:
I'm using this product for business and personal text documents that I need to send to other or archive. I'm trying to eliminate as much paper as possible.
I've used a flatbed scanner with automatic document feed, but was disappointed in the slowness and skewed images. Speed and lack of skew was what I was looking for in a scanner for a small business. I had tried the Canon ImageFormula c-125 and was very disappointed in the fact that documents continuously came out skewed and were not corrected automatically by the software. As well the Canon software was very cumbersome to use, and the product seemed very cheaply made. I returned the product.
In contrast, the Scan Snap is an excellent product. Easy to install the software, easy to use the software, excellent scans, not skewed and very fast scanning speeds. If you have the money, I strongly recommend this product. It's worth not having to spend your time working out the glitchs you might have in other products.
Note: I have not used the product for scanning photos or graphics, so I can't comment on it's performance for those tasks.
Additionally, I have only used this on a pc, but will also be using it on a Mac.

Comments about Fujitsu S1500M ScanSnap Sheet-Fed Scanner for Mac Computers:
This product was very easy to install and has so far performed very well. I have scanned several business cards in attempts to organize my contacts. So far, the information has been categorized correctly about 85% of the time which is better than other products that I have experienced. As for non-business card scans, the scansnap has performed flawlessly. The enclosed software and OCR capabilities are outstanding. I have only been using this for work so far and have not yet tried to use it for pictures. For work purposes, I have to give it two thumbs up.

Comments about Fujitsu S1500M ScanSnap Sheet-Fed Scanner for Mac Computers:
I had a 2004 Canon, and the software would no longer work through the Parallels portion of my Mac. Thus, I purchased the 1500M by Fujitsu. Reviews were good, and they were spot on!! It is a wonderful scanner in terms of ease of use, speed, clarity of the resulting scan. In brief, it was everything I was looking for in a scanner for Mac with a small footprint.

Easy to install on a 2009 MacBook and fires through stacks of papers quickly with double or single-sided scanning. The only thing that would have made it better was if it shipped with the latest version of Acrobat.

Scan all your incoming mail easily regardless of size, double sided or single sided - it doesn't matter. Goes in skew? Doesn't matter. The scanning software automatically corrects the skew without your input. I couldn't be happier. Couple this with one of the many doc management tools out there

Comments about Fujitsu S1500M ScanSnap Sheet-Fed Scanner for Mac Computers:
My husband and I travel every weekend for our business. Besides our laptops and a portable travel desk for working in the car (one of us drives, while the other works), we bring a portable printer (HP 470) and the Fujitsu ScanSnap. The ScanSnap is indispensable! It's fast, always works flawlessly and somehow retains hi-resolution images, while at the same time, compressing into files that can be e-mailed easily--even surprisingly, documents with enormous numbers of pages. We have purchased this scanner for all of our key employees, as it is truly, a productivity tool. The only improvements I would like to see are blue-tooth capability and a battery, so it could be used cordlessly at times. Tutorials on using the software to its fullest capabilities would be the cherry on the cake!

Comments about Fujitsu S1500M ScanSnap Sheet-Fed Scanner for Mac Computers:
This product is a tremendous help in reducing the paper clutter at home. It scans both sides quickly and accurately. Software takes a little bit of time to set up, and paper sometimes gets fed incorrectly, but overall it is a very good product and is working great. It really cuts the time down in scanning documents compared to a flat bed scanner.

The scanner is the third Fujitsu scanner I have purchased and every one has been great! I've scanned thousands of pages with the scanners and the reason I purchased this Fujitsu scanner is because it is compatible with my 27 inch Mac desktop computer. Installation was seamless and the scanner worked immediately without any flaws. Did I mention the scanner comes with the full copy of Adobe Acrobat! Scanner and software for less than $500 - that is a home run!
NO PROBLEMS with scanner, installation or software!

Comments about Fujitsu S1500M ScanSnap Sheet-Fed Scanner for Mac Computers:
Very happy with this scanner. It's fast (amazingly, duplex mode is apparently as fast as single-sided: both sides are scanned in a single pass), feeds documents of various sizes quite well, comes with a complete version of Adobe Acrobat, does everything I wanted it to do. I am converting years of personal papers to digital form. With my flatbed scanner, I never even tried, knowing it would take too long. With this scanner, it can be done. I am not yet very familiar with the other software that comes with it, but don't foresee any major problems. Haven't used it for photo scanning yet, so I don't know about resolution issues – don't need high resolution for documents.

Comments about Fujitsu S1500M ScanSnap Sheet-Fed Scanner for Mac Computers:
If you have either a high volume of documents to scan, or routinely scan documents and need reliability, this scanner is worth the money. I use the Windows-version at work, where we scan thousands of pages each month. After nearly two years, we've never had a maintenance issue, and everyone can operate the units easily. I decided to purchase one for home to eliminate several fire boxes full of documents, and have run hundreds of pages through at one sitting--the feed has jammed only twice, both times due to pre-existing tears in the documents. Both jams cleared quickly, re-scanned easily, and the scanning continued without having to start that batch over. Tremendously efficient, except that in scanning 50-page batches double-side, the scanner is so fast you can't really focus on other detailed tasks. You move from naming/saving the scanned file (you can set standard saving locations and naming conventions to automatically increment, greatly simplifying that step), execute the next scan, and prepare the next batch "on deck" to go when the scanning finishes, and that's about all you can do.
