having had the G2 series for almost 7 years, the G3 was pretty much a breeze to set up and start using the same day I received it. Features and sound quality are all excellent. Only reason to deduct one star is that I prefer the G2 screen and build quality.

I am a Video Producer. I do anything from weddings to TV spots and of course web video.This is an amazing system. Low noise great reception and more than anything it's reliable when it counts. I had other systems before on the $400 to $600 range and non of them compare.The only thing I didn't like so much was the microphone pop filter... they could have done it smaller kind of like the ones found in really expensive lavalieres.

I use an ew 100 ENG G3 Wireless connected to my Sound Devices 302 Field Mixer to send audio to my Sony NEX FS 100UK camcorder.

Things that are great are the improved Setup screens and the Sennheiser YouTube video showing step-by-step setup (after monitoring Local clear channels) and the better sensitivity of the lapel mike ... compared to the Sennheiser 100G2 wireless mike I bought from B&H in 2009.

Can't think of things that aren't so great.

This system has lived up to the reviews given previously. The setup was extremely easy, the sound quality is excellent and the range is excellent, I tested it up to 150' with no loss in quality.

use this wireless system to do wedding and events the sound is clear and clean with little or no interference, range is great. only con for me is that the lav and transmitter cannot be used at the same time

I use this wireless mic for all occasions where I know crisp, clean audio is going to be critical (mostly for interviews and stand ups). Set up takes less than a minute, the device is super easy to use, and the wire is easily hidden in the interview subject's pocket or underneath his/her top. If you want top notch professional grade audio equipment, you really don't need to turn anywhere else. Sennheiser, as a brand, is one of the most reliable and churns out quality products.

The only think to keep in mind when using this mic is the little top metal part of the actual mic is placed on tightly, but not stuck on. Be careful when handling. If you are gently handling it and are careful each time, there should be no problems with it detaching.

I received these as a gift, altogether with the "Sennheiser EW 100 G3 Series Dual Basic Kit". Excelent quality with clear sound and really easy to set up and use.

If you're recording for film or pro-video, I'd recommend using them as backup, or together with a boom mic, as they are too clear and don't deliver the bass and depth a shot gun usually does.

Don't let the price fool you, this set delivers excelent quality with clear sound for recording or transmitting wireless audio for film, video and performances.

Really easy to setup and use. If you're recording for film I would suggest using them as backup or 2nd in line after a boom mic, as they sound too clear, without the natural ambience and depth a shotgun can deliver, but nevertheless they are really great, even considering it is not a top of the line set.

I use this set with both my canon xf100 as well as a zoom h4n recorder when shooting with my 5D mark ll. The quality is what you would expect from Sennheiser. Performed as well as one might hope. I have not encountered any problems with this set and look forward to using it for many years to come

I bought this unit for ENG work. Got tired of using a wired mic.
My only complaints with this product are one the instructional manual is completely useless if you have never owned a wireless mic kit before. While it does tell you how to operate the unit, which is very easy to do, the manual doesn't explain what certain options are like "pilot tone and "squelch" etc and how to best use it to your advantage. It is a little confusing but if you re-read it you get the hang of it really quick. My only other complaint was the mounting bracket for the receiver on to the accessory shoe for the camera is a pain to install. You have to remove the clip then put it back on. Also you can adjust the screw in which it attaches to is very tight and i was unable to place it where I wanted too. I wish the antennas on the body pack and receiver were removable so when storing they won't bend. But if you take proper care of your equipment I don't see this being an issue.
Other then that its a real solid unit. It sounds awesome, its very easy to use with the "easy setup" menu option and the infrared syncing is awesome and makes life a lot easier. The included lav mic is decent not the best by all means but it does the job until you can afford to upgrade at a later date. The backlit screen is real easy to see in dark conditions. Would highly recommend this product to first time wireless mic buyers as well as more serious video work.

I spent two weeks researching, posting, and trying out various wireless lav setups. Hands down, this system provides the most bang for the buck. Solid, but not bulky.

Picked this system over the the similarly priced Sony series. I use the system for interviews, on camera talent, etc. The combo kit is great for grabbing sound from a live board, etc.

I'm going to give the ME2 mic a fair shake, before considering a replacement. I recommend this system to anyone looking for a quality system at an affordable price!...

Everything about the kit is outstanding except the too small pelican 1200 case. The Sennheiser wireless microphones have great range, easy to setup and go. B&H needs to provide a larger case it one plans to keep the components together. If the case were larger I would probably give it 5 stars!
