Product Highlights
  • 4 Channels

The Interfit INT492R Hot Shoe and Strobe Flash Trigger Receiver is ideal for mounting hot shoe flashes onto light stands.

Standard shoe mount flash units can be mounted directly onto the integral hot shoe, which also provides the triggering power to the flash. Studio strobes may be fired from the PC Sync terminal on the side of the receiver.

Four channels provide enough isolation from most other radio frequencies and enable you to work on a "closed" system. The unit is powered by long life batteries and works on 433MHz at a distance of up to 100' (30 m) in an open area.

This is an additional or replacement receiver, and requires the use of the Strobies Transmitter, which is sold as part of #INT492.

Note:Sony/Minolta flashes require #STR114 to work with this item

      Comments about Interfit INT492R Hot Shoe and Strobe Flash Remote Receiver:

      The product works. I'm not sure if I just don't know what I'm doing... but I can only use my flashes on manual mode with this product. (I don't know if all of them are like that?)

        Comments about Interfit INT492R Hot Shoe and Strobe Flash Remote Receiver:

        I bought two of these to go with the INT492R Hot Shoe and Strobe Flash Trigger Set for my 3 strobes. I haven't had a misfire yet and I've even tried it in different rooms of the house.

        Comments about Interfit INT492R Hot Shoe and Strobe Flash Remote Receiver:

        For the price, this product is just as good as much more expensive radio flash triggers. It works reliably and never missed a beat.

        I first used this on a shoot with 4 other photographers in the same area. My flash units only fired when they were supposed to.

        The only drawback is the limited number of channels, but how often will I be in a situation where more than 4 will be needed will be very rare.

        Comments about Interfit INT492R Hot Shoe and Strobe Flash Remote Receiver:

        As a seasoned amateur and a newbie to the strobist world, I was looking for a wireless flash trgger that was:
        * Affordable
        * Easy to use
        * Sturdy

        For the price I am happy with 2 out of 3. Works with no setup out of the box. Has a PC connection and a hot shoe connection. Nothing to do but insert batteries in the receiver, plug into the flash and shoot. Of course you need the transmitter for a complete set and you have to buy at least one complete set to start. The INT492R is an expansion receiver.

        The only reason this does not get a higher rating is that it has a 100' distance limit (which I suspect I will never need to exceed) and when the flash is mounted on the hot shoe and the receiver mounted on a universal swivel, the whole rig becomes very unstable. But, with a little velcro and a PC sync cable between flash and receiver, the receiver attaches to the strobe and the strobe attaches to the mount on a universal swivel or similiar device. Very stable rig this way. Just don't plan to use the hot shoe and provided 'L' bracket to attach to the flash.

        Don't know about long term issues, if any.

        Comments about Interfit INT492R Hot Shoe and Strobe Flash Remote Receiver:

        It seems to trigger the flash most often, but really drains the batteries if you forget to switch it off. The range is not to far either. I would put it at about 40' with nothing in the way. Once obstacles come into play, you never know what is going to happen. I dont like the design, it puts the flash to far above the softbox when using an umbrella bracket. Used with the Westcott Apollo softbox, the flash is almost touching the top.
