Comments about Interfit STR118 Flexi Adapter Arm with Shoe Mount Adapter:

This couldn't hold it's self, let alone when I put a speedligt on it.

The clamp rubber came off right away and sent it crashing to the ground and it was a vertical placement, not even the horizontal like the picture shows...I don't see that ever working.

SOOOO within 5 minutes of using this unit of junk the plastic that held the shoe mount adapter was broken.

Don't buy this, unless you want broken stuff.

Comments about Interfit STR118 Flexi Adapter Arm with Shoe Mount Adapter:

I found the clamp didn't have enough tension to hold the weight of a SB-800 so i removed it and bolted the flexable arm on to a G-clamp now it holds the flash without moving, then after about 3 weeks the hot shoe that is supplied with it came apart, the bottom part with the threaded hole is only super glued to the main part of the unit and i was lucky to notice it before my flash fell to the ground.

Comments about Interfit STR118 Flexi Adapter Arm with Shoe Mount Adapter:

Attach it to a light stand with a diffuser in front of it, or attach it to anything available for off-camera use when you don't have a stand. This is an inexpensive solution for many applications.

Comments about Interfit STR118 Flexi Adapter Arm with Shoe Mount Adapter:

I wish I'd read the previous reviewer before I bought....he was spot on. It's a great idea, but the jaws are too weak. Mounted on a vertically aligned surface (like the edge of a door or cabinet) with only the weight of a Canon 430ex strobe attached to it, the jaws wouldn't stay clamped to the door/cabinet. It held up the flash, barely...but not well enough for me to feel comfortable leaving my strobe dangling out there. The bar itself adds considerable weight as well, which i think aggravates the clamping issue. There is no way to adjust the spring tension, or tighten the clamp manually. The flash hotshoe is cheap plastic. I plan on returning.

Comments about Interfit STR118 Flexi Adapter Arm with Shoe Mount Adapter:

Nice idea, good arm, but jaws way too weak - at some angles it can't hold own weight and don't even think about using this with umbrella or something - flash only.

I'd returned it, but sending it back too expensive for me, so i guess i just try add more powerfull spring.
