Comments about Mace BNC Elbow Adapter:

Once upon a time in a land far, far away there lived a very angry man. It seems his camera had BNC inputs that were awkwardly designed. They were too close to each other and far too awkward to attach cables to with the man's hot-dog sized fingers.

One day the man was thinking about his problem. He thought and he thought. Then he thought some more.

Then an idea occurred to him.

The angry man looked up into the heavens and wished upon a star.

"Oh star", he said, "I wish for some kind of thing that would make my terrible problem go away. Some kind of L shaped adapter, perhaps, that I could use to easily attach a cable with my hot-dog sized fingers!!!"

It as then an amazing thing happened. The star grew brighter and brighter. Then brighter still. Soon it was brighter than the sun during at high noon during the day.

Then the star spoke to the angry man. It bellowed a loud voice. "You idiot", said the star, "why not look for the adapter in your B&H app on your iPad!!"

And so he did. And there he found the adapter as the star had foretold.

Soon the adapter arrived by courier, in an oversized padded envelope, and when the angry man tried it on his camera, it fit perfectly. The angry man… wasn't angry any more.

And all the land was filled with joy and love.

And everyone lived happily every after.

        The end.

Maybe its just my application. i use these as part of my tension relief strategy on the Epic. I find them weak and they break very often ie. Once per shooting week. I wish they would make something more reliable even if it were more expensive...

Comments about Mace BNC Elbow Adapter:

The supplier of this BNC elbow (BNC90MF) must have changed, because the product received is different than pictured. The manufacturing quality is poor, the casting is imprecise, and the connectors are 'sticky'..they jam instead of locking and releasing smoothly. The tolerances are really bad. Also, the adapters are 50 ohm, instead of 75 ohm, as they have a white insulating ring around the centre pin. This white insulating ring is also poorly made, with burrs all around it. I ordered four adapters and they are all like this.

In the beginning I thought this is a 90 degree adaptor. BUT this is freely rotating adaptor! You can angled it any how you want, easing cable stress etc
