AquaTech Sensory Gloves (Medium, Black/Moss)

The black/moss AquaTech Sensory Gloves are built for both cold and wet environments, and provide superior fingertip control thanks to their unique design advantage.

There's a fleece covering where the glove meets the wrist and all upon the areas where the fingers extend from your palm, providing great resistance to cold.  But the thumb and index finger are sealed in a thin, fine layer of neoprene, and upon the tip of this neoprene there is a small hole meant to allow the very end of either digit to extend outside of the glove for precision control of equipment.

The body of the Sensory Glove is made from several panels stitched together, instead of a seamless piece of fabric, because this provides a better fit to your hand.  Sensory Gloves are tough and made to withstand many seasons of harsh winter use.

Fleece seal for wrist, and fleece cover for fingertips
Special stitched hole allows thumb or index finger to extend beyond glove's confines when desired
Exterior Waterproof breathable outer shell
Silicon nubbed palm for superior grip
Interior Double fast drying breathable insulation layers
Fleece seal for wrist and fleece cover for fingertips thumb and index finger for control
Sizing Length from middle finger to wrist: 7.4" (19.0 cm)
Adjustability Adjustable wrist lanyards to hold gloves to your jacket

I photograph nature, wildlife and scenic views during Winter in Vermont USA. These gloves were just exactly what I needed. I had pairs of those mittens with the top portion that could be flipped over to expose the top halves of your fingers but I found that to be far too much exposure when it's only 5F (or less) and the wind is blowing. The flipped top on the mittens have an annoying tendency to get in the way while setting up and operating my cameras.

The Sensory Gloves by Aqua Tech allow me to stay out there longer so I can get the shots. They don't get in my way and they are amazingly lightweight! I also love the straps which I place round my wrists to keep from losing them.

Only con-factor was they are slighty larger than I thought they would be but that doesn't seem to be creating a problem. It's better to go slightly over-sized than too small to keep your hands warm in extremely cold temperatures.

It hasn't been cold enough to fully test these, yet. The holes in the tips of the thumb and index fingers require a little effort but with use they might be fine. Another concern is that the tips, once your finger and thumb are exposed, seem to be a little awkward and might be in the way of some camera functions. Medium size is a little snug but the fingers are a bit too long. I might try a liner with these once I've broken them in. If it gets really cold they might be a little too fussy. The jury is still out but I'll update my review after some time using them.

Comments about AquaTech Sensory Gloves (Medium, Black/Moss):

I use them to photography the northern lights i Yukon, Canada. Most of the time I did not need more protections for my hands and I was able to operate my gear. The fingertip control is good but not enough for sometimes I had to take one glove out to operate my camera. Perhaps would be better to be able to use more fingers.

Comments about AquaTech Sensory Gloves (Medium, Black/Moss):

Gloves are lightweight but well made. Fit is snug but well formed. My hand measured about 8 inches so I ordered a medium. Excellent finger and palm grip. Has both wrist cinch and wrist wrap secured via Velcro patch. These gloves will address moderate cold and cold wind. They are not artic caliber gloves. For additional warmth you could use a thin liner.

        Best cold weather shooting glove

        By Marc

        from Boston

Comments about AquaTech Sensory Gloves (Medium, Black/Moss):

The shooting fingers are a little hard to get my fingers out, so I cut the neoprene just enough to let my fingers out and now they are perfect. Excellent for shooting and cold weather protection.

These gloves have a nice grip which help me hold onto my tripod, but the sensory holes didn't help me much- I found myself removing the glove to adjust my camera. I used them yesterday in 22 degree, windy weather and needed liners. The wrist cords kept getting caught in my tripod as I was opening and closing it during my hike- I may have to cut them off.

They are comfortable but not waterproof, the holes in the thumb & forefinger prevent that. The Velcro strap on the wrist is useless, Not long enough But the draw strings are OK--We Like em !

When temperature drops, you need something to keep your fingers warm. The problem is that it's hard to control the dials on the camera with gloves.

With these gloves, you can easily slip your thumb and/or forefinger through a small opening, to access the controls

I used them in zero degree weather last week, and was able to operate my camera and keep my hands warm (with heat pads tucked in the gloves). These gloves will get a lot of use!

Comments about AquaTech Sensory Gloves (Medium, Black/Moss):

I would use these gloves for shooting in cold temperatures.
They are well constructed, but not very useful.
They fit tightly (medium size), and for this reason provide little warmth.
The openings for the fingers do not allow for enough mobility to operate all controls on my D1 Mark III's.
For these reasons I have returned them and have received credit.
For cold weather it's best to use hand warmers and pockets when not shooting.
                  Forget the gloves!

Light, dexterous and warm. Good for operating camera equipment, and then retracting to stay warm/dry. A little on the snug side, if you want to use a cotton glove liner, hyper velcro on the wrist.

I used these gloves while on an arctic trip. While they are okay at keeping your hands warm with liners they are hard to use with with them since you can't easily poke out your fingers for camera controls. On really cold days you really do need liners but for not so cold days they will be just fine. A little on the bulky side (I got a medium but a small would be too small) they do the trick. Although I did end up just using my liners much more on this trip.

Comments about AquaTech Sensory Gloves (Medium, Black/Moss):

Comments about AquaTech Sensory Gloves (Medium, Black/Moss):

I use this product birding in the dead of winter keeps hands warm enough from cold camera surfaces.

Thing great about these gloves is there a finger hole slits on left and right index and thumb of gloves , just push you finger to adjust camera settings.have glove clips and slip ties.

Things not so great are the velcro wrist straps are to short to close, they should have a stretch material sewn in to fix that. Make a bit more warmer too.
size is in between too small to true to size.
