This product is an excellent addition to my photo arsenal. I wanted to add a ploarized lens to my f1.8 lens. The B&H rep was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out the right product. Now my 58mm polarized lens also fits on my fixed 52mm lens.

Comments about General Brand 52mm-58mm Step-Up Ring (Lens to Filter):
It's a ring. It steps up. 52-58mm. That's lens to filter, mind you. For example, I use this ring to attach a 58mm polarizer to a 52mm lens. It works beautifully. You should see it. Wow. They totally fit together now.

Comments about General Brand 52mm-58mm Step-Up Ring (Lens to Filter):
We had a ND Fader that needed to be attached to our prime lens that would be used primarily for most of our narrative shooting. The step-up ring proved useful to attach the ND fader in order to open up the iris while out in the hot New Mexican sun.
What's great is the simplicity that proved to be a useful tool in order to accomplish what we need.

I bought the Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens and quickly realized that if I wanted to keep using 58mm filters and accessories that I would need the Step-Up Ring. This adapter was the right price, is built well and did exactly what I needed it to do.

It's a metal adaptor ring. Not much to say, it does the job and seems quite steady and solid.
