Comments about Intova Compact Torch:
Waterproof to 400 feet is kinda overkill for me. I wanted to shoot a few bits and pieces at 20 feet max. I bought this flashlight because of the price ($ bucks or thereabouts), you can put it underwater (and how) and because it takes AAA batteries. I shoot footage in remote places. Therefore I travel as lightweight as possible. I can only speak for the region I work in, Australia and Asia, but SF123A batteries are not something you'll find at a local store, let alone a remote village. You can find AAA batteries any and everywhere. And they're cheap. (SF 123 batteries are ridiculously expensive and hard to find in my part of the world). I use the same charger that I use for a lot of my other gear. We used this torch while trying to catch salt-water crocs for radio collaring. Very powerful, thin beam. Good having the wrist strap when bumping along a dark river with a cam in the other hand. Good battery life too. I had it on for very long periods. Cheap, strong, waterproof and uses AAA. I don't know what else anyone needs from a flashlight. The only negative is a personal one. I don't like the look of it. But at least it isn't black so you can find the god-dammed thing in your cam bag when you need it.

Comments about Intova Compact Torch:
I'm a freediver and bought this as I wanted a compact light to check out under rocks and ledges, rather than the more bulky scuba torches. It has a powerful, concentrated beam, great for reaching deep into caves. If you're looking for a broad light to help with photos, this ain't it but if you just want to see what's there, it's a goodie. It feels robust and operates perfectly but with only two dives to about 15 metres under its handstrap so far, can't comment on longevity.

Comments about Intova Compact Torch:
I used this flashlight for night diving and to illuminate the object during the day at depths from 10 to 35 meters.
The depth of the night dive was to 25-27 meters in the Red Sea. Total dive time 45 minutes.
I was surprised by the power of this little device. It allows me to find the reefs and marine life at a great distance, to monitor the objects, including those as fast as squids and barracuda.
My friend had the camera with flash. For night shooting is convenient to use the flashlight to find the subject, keep it in sight, and lights, and then with a flash camera to take pictures. The small size allows them to manipulate light in the water without effort.
The batteries last a long time, which I think is important. I have used conventional recharging batteries, which bought at retail, together with a universal charger.
For recording movies during the day at a depth that is convenient to highlight the torch, but apparently someone also need a lamp that produces light scattering.
In general, thanks to my friends and flashlight for an unforgettable night diving.

Comments about Intova Compact Torch:
This product is good as backup due to it's size. It gives 130lumen which is bright enough. Nice concentrated beam with moderate spill. It runs on AAA batteries which available worldwide. The runtime is great ~6hrs.

Bought 2 of these Intova torches from BH. One worked as it should the other the switch was inconsistent. After several fustrating months I sent an email to Intova and had a new switch within 3 days sent to Australia. Very pleasing and friendly professional service from Intova.

Dependable, powerful dive light. Twin o-rings and pushbutton switch make for great durability.

Comments about Intova Compact Torch:
I had previously purchased an Intova light that had a wide beam and also featured the tailswitch but used CR123A batteries. I found the beam a little too wide for diving, so I thought I would try the ICOM and keep the previous light as a backup. The beam on the ICOM is indeed quite a bit narrower, which I like, but the tailswitch squeaks and the ICOM does not appear to be as robust as the other light. Yet to use it underwater, and I'm confident it will work out fine, but surprised that it is not as substantial as the first Intova light.

Comments about Intova Compact Torch:
Small but bright. The strobe feature works well for signalling underwater without making a sound. My only reservation is that the first one only lasted a couple of months (8 dives) before the switch quit working. Quickly replaced by the manufacturer, but the verdict is still out on long term durability.

Comments about Intova Compact Torch:
This is a great light. I like to use it as my primary light. It is small and compact (as the name would suggest). Additionally, it only takes 3 AAA batteries (none of the specialized batteries). The only possible disadvantage I can see is that it provides a rather narrow beam of light. Some people don't like this, but I think it's great especially when you're in a low visibility environment. I plan on buying a second as my backup.

I use this for diving, but also on land. A friend loved it so much, I bought her one for Xmas which she'll use to find the horses in the field at night. Intense light at an unbelievable distance. Lightweight and compact...this is the one for me.

Narrow angle, very sharp in terms of suspension, no for photo.

Last month I purchased two of these Intova lights to replace my old / larger (3 C) backup lights for cavediving and these little Intova's work great. Last weekend I made six cave dives over three days and the lights worked great.

Comments about Intova Compact Torch:
I used this light for scuba diving at night. It's my first scuba light so I can't compare it to other brands, but it is very bright, compact and light weight. I really liked the magnetic off/on button and choice of power settings. I used it to shine across the lake when we got back in to camp and it lit up the far shore over 100 yds away. I have the focused beam light and now I want a wide angle beam light to go with it.

Comments about Intova Compact Torch:
I purchased this torch, and so did most of my Advanced SCUBA classmates, and we all agree that this is a great product. My dive buddy was using a different pistol grip light that had a focused beam that did not compare at all to the Intova. I am very happy with this light, it is easy to use (the push-button is great) and it is very bright. I have no complaints
Comments about Intova Compact Torch:
I purchased 2 of these about a month ago. I'm using them for diving backup lights. I have about 5 hours of bottom time on one of the lights with depths up to 100ft and it's working great. These are solid lights for very low cost. The beam is extremely focused. Usually LED lights have trouble with too large of a beam spread. This light is the opposite extreme. The new switch design is great and has worked flawlessly. I would probably stick with the time tested standards for serious cave diving or deep wreck penetration but this is a great backup light for recreational diving.
