Comments about Buffalo 8TB TeraStation III 4-Drive NAS Array:

This is the second NAS we buy for our business and personal data. We run a small photography company in Texas. We are two professional photographers. We use the NAS to save data and share them thru a local network. All the data are easily and very quickly accessible. We share the NAS thru 4 computers in the office. We have set yp the NAS with RAID 5. The device is very quiet, does not heat, gives a very fast access. With RAID 5 we just have 5.5TB on the original 8TB but this is the price to secure the 4 disks. For us, this a must have for all small businesses. The NAS just needs 5 minutes to be set up on the network.

We use this archive projects after completion, so they are still available over the office network. So far it is working just as we had hoped.
