Comments about Kramer VP-729 9-Input ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher with Ethernet:

We use the Kramer 729 to mix media (ananlog/digital) to send to a projector. Three main components connected include a laptop, desktop and DVD/BlueRay. Seemless transition. Makes prep for the next activity easy. Long pauses which used to tie up a laptop with a "blank screen" are solved with a button on the Kramer. Finally - a solution!!

perhaps firmware updates are forthcoming for some issues, but.. experience glitches on screen sometimes when connecting via ethernet to conrtol it. transition to/from digital inputs does not fade but rather cuts and so appears glitch-y. transition from analog to analog is nice, but slow - almost 3 seconds to complete and there does not seem to be any adjustment available for the transition type or time. OSD configuration is less than desirable. so, works pretty well considering the price point but perhaps not quite as well "as advertised"..

This is a great "Swiss Army" tool that does a lot for the money.
