I use the Power Center for my HTC. First, the protection! My power is U/G fed and the cables and transformers are showing their age. Two surges came through within ten seconds and my my Monster ate the surge and went back for seconds! The digital filtering made the picture on my TV look even BETTER! Even my wife noticed and has no idea on tetchy stuff. I did have to add a Monster surge suppressor so I could add wireless bridges and power my self powered (w/subwoofer) speakers. The audio sounds cleaner! Wether watching a movie with surround on or listening to my favorite radio station or listening to a CD. Thanks Monster!!!!!

Looks and works flawlessly, just had a massive electrical lightning storm hit a few days ago and have been occuring multiple times a week. This unit not only looks state of the art but it is state of the art. Its ability to power and protect is absolutely amazing. It protected all my speakers, tv, receiver, etc . Just amazing. What also amazed me is the extremely low power consumption it has. yet it has the ability to power my products at 119 volts most of the time on the 120 volt outlet. absolutely amazing. and thats with my products running all at once. It is so worth the money. To me its priceless becuase if i had to replaced anything it would cost 3 or 4 times the amount that the unit cost. easily. Im disabled and dont have the money to just replace several thousand dollar items or even 1000 dollar items. This unit gives me such a piece of mind knowing my stuff is protected and not going to fry out on me while im gone or even at the house. By the way the picture quality on my tv and xbox 360 was stunning before but now its as if it just took the picture and sharpened and brightened every image. 5 stars from me. I want its bigger brother for more outlet space... But this unit will do most people just fine and even better.. Buy it and have the peace of mind that i have. Its priceless guys. its not just [$] worth of another piece of equipment to buy . These unit will do so much for you and your equipment.

Way back on April 4, 2010 I put in a quick review on my HDP 1800 after a short period of use. Two years later I will once again affirm that I am very satisfied with this product! It has protected my PC and office equipment through power dips, spikes, and outages. As mentioned in 2010 I had bought a 3500 MKII for the home theater which has improved sound and picture. Am running higher end equipment and it really is noticable to have the filtering provided by this unit. Has protected same as the HDP 1800. Added one last unit that I came across in a "managers sale" at incredible price to the "family" HDTV/surround on main floor more for the protection value. It was a HDP 2500.

Can't say enough good things about these products. Suffice to say that the utility corridor near us is being updated so I am guessing some of the power issues I have experienced have been related to supplied power rather than electrical storms.

Had this for 3 years now. 6 months into owning it I found I had need of all the outlets. THis is when I found the two isolated outlets did not work. Read through documents, hit the circut breaker which was not tripped, unplugged the unit. Still do not work even tough lights say theres nothing wrong. Emails Monster support today after 2 1/12 years in which I describe everything I had done to troubleshoot it to include turning the switched outlets on and off. And email came back about an hour later saying "hold the button in front down, this is a common mistake". Really??? If you put any more effort into a reply you might actually be worth a pay check. Knowing this is the people Monster employees now, I will never buy another product from them.

bought this just to protect my equipment but my HD picture on my 60"plasma is a bit more clear and the sound out of my reciever is AMAZING!!!I can't believe how much more crisp and clean it sounds now!!!!

I use my HDP1800 to protect my old 2008 Panasonic 42PZ77u,my Denon AV Surroud Receiver 1404, Panasonic Blu-Ray and HD Cable Receiver. First thing I notice when I plugged in all the stuff was the picture clarity and better color. When I turned on My sound System and crank it up a bit, I tought I had new speakers. My HDP1800 is a refurbished one by Monster but work like a brand new one. Very happy of my Purchase.

I have a home recording studio for many years. When getting a surround sound system for my home, Best Buy recommended me buying one of these Monster 1800 units. I knew I needed it more for my recording studio that has active monitors, computers, pre's, EQ's, channel strips, and keyboards. So I actually purchased two of them. After hooking them up I notice quickly that my monitors were giving me more detail and depth when playing music. I am very happy I purchased them. I am sure it would help my 5.1 system as well, but I have not yet purchased a third one....yet.

Recently purchased Samsung 3D Plasma TV, so I bought the Monster HDP 1800 for protection. I had a Magnavox Plasma (older model, no HDMI). With the new TV, we immediately started experiencing a poor cable signal (picture skipping, scrambled picture, audio interruptions) At first, I thought it had something to do with the HDMI cable running from cable-box to A/V Receiver. I took "premium HDMI" cable from 3D Blu-Ray player and ran it from cable-box to receiver with another "premium" cable from receiver to TV-still no joy. The scrambled, distorded picture went away when I ran the coaxial cable directly to the cable-box then to TV, vice running cable input/output through Monster power center. Makes me wonder if the rest of the box is really doing anything for me.

Bought mine at a local bestbuy store after getting a christmas gift card 2010. this product is just all about cosmetics especially the blue light which really looks attractive. i had my samsung projection tv, sony hdmi dvd player, comcast/motorolla cable box, and nintendo wii plugged in. worked fine for 8 months and died. reset button at the back didnt help.
not worth the money so please buy a cheap but reliable one.
i got their old power bar way back in 2003 and still works fine up to now with a jvc plasma, sony home theater dvd player, sony vhs/dvd combo and a comcast/motorolla cable box.but this HDP1800 model did not last long.

The connections for your plugs in the back are fine as long as you are connecting standard two prong plugs, but if you have several three prong plugs with a ground prong and large wires such as is typical for HD tv's, you are going to run into trouble, due to the small space between each plug on the back of this unit.

This product is being used in my home theater system. It is small enough to be easily integrated into the cabinet and the dimmer on the display means you don't have to look at the bright blue lights if you don't want to. It is shallow enough to allow for adequate room to access all of the outlets easily. I am thinking of buying another one for my 2-channel system.

This suited my needs: HDTV, PS3, Wii, BOSE & Dish HD. Its monsoon season in AZ and sometimes we get power surges/outaggess. Last night we had only one and my ENTIRE system died. The powercenter shows that it is on but its sending no power to the connected devices. I plugged each device directly into a socket and there is no problem with them powering on. I am now powering my system through a $30 Tripplite Surge supressor and its working fine. WIth NO loss in picture quality or sound... Are you really getting what you are paying for?

I hooked this up and the first thing I noticed was a cleaner sound. Sharp highs and cleaner lows. But that's not what I bought it for. I want to sleep well at night after the small fortune I've invested in the A/V equipment in my home theater. For that, it's money well spent. The downside? The manual doesn't explain much. It tells you where to plug things in but that's about it. No question about it, these gadgets are expensive but they don't come close in price to the cheapest A/V equipment that you will put in your rack. I'm witholding a star because it has only been on for a day or so.
