Comments about Wein SSL-E Ultra Slave - Monoplug (3000'):
It amazes me that I can have the on camera trigger flash on 1/64 power IN ANOTHER ROOM and the Ultra Slave still triggers the flash. Excellent product!
Factory response with any problems is instant. I purchased another model Wein slave that my monolight did not like, and the factory sent me this one that very day. They let me send the first one I bought back to them at my leisure. Terrific support !
Comments about Wein SSL-E Ultra Slave - Monoplug (3000'):
unbelievably sensitive.
I use it in studio flashes - floor packs and monoblocs.
In one of my Balcar's it is excellent, in the other (old blue one) it is too sensitive and I have to run and rip it out before the pack blows up from too much flashiing. That's ok - I just use it in other ones where it is faultless so far
Comments about Wein SSL-E Ultra Slave - Monoplug (3000'):
Does just what it says it does-it fires strobes that utilize a 1/4 mono plug connection. These are typically studio strobes or monolights that use low voltage triggers, which are required on newer and digital cameras. Works indoors and out. As reliable as dirt, which is to say it works every time.
Expertise: Semi-pro
Problems Encountered: Very sensitive. Once had to delay a shoot because of distant lightning! Resumed shoot by draping some neutral density plastic over slave to decrease sensitivity.
Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Various slaves
