These are the best little stands I have ever own with just enough height
for sit down interviews. I love the way they fold up and interlock
with each other to stow flat taking up little room in my DOC package.
The small footprint allows you to place them in tight places but saying
that you should be careful over loading them as with any stand.
I bag them for that extra safety factor when I super compress the footprint in really, really tight places.
I use extra straps banding them together and wrap them in cloth before packing them with other check in gear.
Love the air sound!

I own six of the original compact 4-section light stands from Manfrotto - the ones without air cushioning and the locking feature. They fold down small enough to fit in a location lighting kit, and hold most lights and modifiers. I use them to hold monolights, reflectors, and flags on location.
These new Air Cushioned stands are the same length when folded, so they fit in many rolling cases designed for lighting gear. They also have a clever way of folding flat and locking together.
The Air Cushion feature keeps the stand from collapsing when I loosen the lock knob. This will protect a light from impact damage. This feature takes up more room at each joint, which has two negative effects:
1. It decreases the length of the three support legs. That means the overall diameter of the stand when erected is about 6 inches (15 cm) smaller, making it less stable and more prone to tipping as compared to the original non-air-cushioned stands.
2. The overall height is about 8 inches (21 cm) shorter. This is not as much of an issue for me, as the ~7 foot height is fine for most applications. Given the lower stability, I wouldn't want it much higher anyway.
Overall I prefer the non-air cushioned model.

Comments about Manfrotto 1051BAC-3 Alu Mini Stand - Pack of 3 - 6.75' (2m):
I own three of the earlier model of mini stands that did not feature air cushioning. Having the air cushion is definitely a plus even though it comes at the expense of making each section a little longer. However, Monfrotto have made legs shorter to keep the overal folded length short and on top of that they've replaced the solid aluminum alloy shaft and base with plastic versions. As the result they have made these stands too unstable and risky to use, as they can easily tip over by a little shake.

Very light, quick release and convenient to stack together for moving around . Just be careful if you want to load the light-modifier like umbrella or soft box on as a small wind might take down the light stand.
Perfect for using with speedlights setup :)

Comments about Manfrotto 1051BAC-3 Alu Mini Stand - Pack of 3 - 6.75' (2m):
I really like how much these compact down and attach to themselves and stay together. I'm a bit concerned about how much true weight they can hold in the future but for now they are fine. I shoot very small subjects in a very small studio. I would worry if I had a HUGE light box and heavy lights about how sturdy they are but I do like them for what I need them for.

Comments about Manfrotto 1051BAC-3 Alu Mini Stand - Pack of 3 - 6.75' (2m):
Thought it might be a good tradeoff between portability and use for 600 watt led video lights weighing in at 16 oz. Not good at at all. At lowest level will work but that isn't the purpose of a video light stand. The legs opened are too narrow of a footprint so if accidentally hit on location it would tip over easily even with a sandbag. Lights I am using are only 12"x12"x1" so weight is centered over uprights.
Also aluminum is so lightweight that any fan nearby causes the top two levels to sway.
Just too lightweight for anything other than a remote flash.
Heavier gauge aluminum and 5" wider footprint would make it slightly heavier but improve usage significantly.

They're portable enough to carry to locations, and they hold my Lowel Rifas fine, although the EX 66 puts a noticeable bow in the stand when at its tallest length, and the stand will tilt and fall without a weight or if the light isn't aligned with one of the tripod's feet. I use them for interviews, and for a sit-down, the stands' heights are fine.
The tripod's footprint is smaller than ones of similar size—a feature that cuts both ways. It makes for great portability, but the tip-over risk is higher, so I have to be extra alert as to how I place my lights on the stand.
I like the locking together feature. It helps keep my lighting kit bag organized.
