The Singh-Ray 77mm LB ColorCombo Polarizer Filter blends both the LB Color Intensifier and LB Warming Circular Polarizer into a single filter to provide the benefits of both in a more convenient package.

The LB Color Intensifier aspect is designed to enrich local color contrast in specific regard to warm colors as well as greens. The filter strives to boost the intensity of those specific colors while maintaining a natural rendering of other neutral colors as well as white tones within the scene.

The LB Warming Circular Polarizer portion of the filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions. Additionally, a warming effect is applied to imagery by imparting a slight red/yellowish hue across the entire image.

The LB designation of this filter stands for "Lighter, Brighter", which refers to the lower optical density of the filter that enables shorter shutter speeds or smaller f/stops to be used when the filter is in place. The brighter design of the filter also enables a brighter viewfinder image to aid in composition as well as improves auto exposure and focusing performance. This filter requires an additional 2 stop exposure for normal results.

Singh-Ray ring-mounted filters are constructed from highly polished proprietary glass to provide notable image quality and clarity. The standard ring mount design measures 8.5mm-thick and features front filter threads for stacking of additional filters.

LB Color Intensifier

Enhancing filter boosts the intensity of greens and warm colors without producing an unnatural appearance.
Strengthens local color contrast and saturation.
Maintains a natural rendering of whites and other neutral colors.

LB Warming Circular Polarizer

Reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface.
Arrange and filter directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light allowing for the absorption of much of the light.
Lessens haze in distant landscapes and provides more saturated, vivid colors.
Strongest effect when used at a 90° from the sun.
Warming effect adds a red/yellowish tone to imagery in order to minimize overwhelming cool tones and add a brighter appearance.

Comments about Singh-Ray 77mm LB ColorCombo Polarizer Filter:

I've only had the filter for a week but have already received comments on the photos I've taken with it. The warming half of the filter adds just enough to the photos to be noticeable but worthwhile and it fits both of my primary lenses.

I've wasted too much money on previouse various Polarize filters. Once I purchased the Singh-Ray 77mm ColorCombo now I own 4 Colorcombo in my inventory. (1) 77mm Thin ColorComb (1) 77mm Thread ColorCombo 1(1) 58mm Thread ColorCombo (1) 62mm Thin ColorCombo.

Comments about Singh-Ray 77mm LB ColorCombo Polarizer Filter:

Excellent filter. If you are really thinking about buying a polarizer, I would suggest you not to have any second thought and just go for this. I have used B+W kaesemann MRC filter for long time. B+W is also an excellent polarizer to start with. But singh ray's LB Colorcombo brings out natural colors that no other filter could offer. IT is a must have for a landscape photographer because it simply pops out green, blue and brown colors. Most of the landscape image that you compose would definitely consists of these colors and without this filter they just look dull. At least this is what I noticed when I compared two pics of same scenery with and without LB ColorCombo.

It is very simple to install. Just screw it to your 77mm lens like any other filter. Very rugged construction. The leather pouch that comes with this filter is high quality and makes it easy to store.

Singh Ray and B&H - a perfect combo. Both are them are reliable.

Since Singh Ray do not sell Vari-n-Trio thro B&H. I ordered it directly from Singh Ray and have just received it.
