The Tenba Rain Cover is a no-seam, one piece construction of thin 200D waterproof coated nylon pack cloth that covers from the lens hood to the viewfinder and wraps under and around the camera so you can keep on shooting in bad weather. Thin nylon allows for feeling and changing of film. The rain cover attaches with touch fastener to the lens hood and the camera base. A slit beneath the lens enables the camera to be hand held or mounted on a tripod. You can see through the clear plastic viewfinder on the rain cover. You operate the camera through the nylon pack cloth. The back bellows out so that it can be swung open and film changed while still under rain protection.

Dimensions: 26" (660mm) long; The RC26 fits a camera with a 600mm lens and hood.

Comments about Tenba RC26 Rain Cover (Black):

Most mfg tend to measure from a Canon perspective, not all that bad except a Canon with the 400mm f2.8 is a tad bit shorter than the Nikon with the Nikkor equivalent. Learned my lesson with a different product so I ordered the RC26 instead of the RC24 (specified for the Nikon combination).

the cover only afford coverage if you shoot in the landscape mode. Once attached and mounted to a monopod if you swing up to the portrait/magazine cover orientation the bottom seam is reversed from what it should be. the overlap catches and directs water into the interior as opposed to displacing the water.

the assembly took some time to figure out and i did appreciate the velcro attachments to build a box around the camera, however the small slit of clear plastic on the camera rear leaves a great deal to be desired. it's akin to viewing the world through a picket fence or watching a ball game from the street. just doesn't do it for me.

when you are working with camera's and lenses costing in the thousands of dollars step up and get the best cover you can. this is the first product i have ever considered returning to B&H but I bought on the cheap so I'll eat this one and use it as a constant reminder that quality is never cheap.
