Comments about Sony TCM-200DV Standard Cassette Voice Recorder:

In a world of digital gone mad, and complex menus, 10 buttons to push or click to get anywhere... I for one decided to go back to the roots of my music recording world. That is using a sinple cassette recorder to put my basic ideas down. And how easy it is. I keep it plugged in with a cassette tape in it, and along side my light weight Casio keyboard. So instantly I can talk or play the idea (s) of a song that I have. That's the ticket!! These are going out of production this year so get one while you can. Has Voice activated recording ( to do hands free stuff) and speed variation of the tape, to slow or speed up etc. Nice sound, easy to use, and all one needs to keep an idea oon record... and not forget it. Get the adaptor for it and it's ALL downhill from there.

Comments about Sony TCM-200DV Standard Cassette Voice Recorder:

I bought this recorder to play some old cassette tapes. So far it is working fine, for a small unit the sound is acceptable. I haven't used the VOR function yet. I am using NiMH rechargeable batteries that are working fine.

A good, compact cassette player/recorder - would recommend to friends.

Some folks think a recorder is a recorder. Not this one. The reason I bought the TCM-200DV is it's ability to record to pitch. AND it's the only one that does it in this price range. I teach the hammered dulcimer and always record my students next tune. After they learn it, they can play along with me and it doesn't sound ugly. Perfect recorder for my music world.

The voice recorder is easy to use and fits comfortably in the hand. It is economical, using only 2 batteries and the cassette tapes are available in many retail stores. The recording has good clarity when played on the transcriber. Our office has used this product for many years and it is always reliable.
