The CineMate® GS Series II from Bose is a premium-quality 2.1 digital home theater speaker system designed to bring out the full audio potential of your TV and video sources. The system consists of the Bose Acoustimass module and a pair of Gemstone speaker arrays. The Acoustimass module provides deep low frequency sounds. It can be easily hidden in a corner or out of view, yet the sound seems to magically come from the Gemstone speakers. The Gemstone speakers provide a full frequency range for realistic audio that puts you right in the middle of your favorite movies, games, and music.
The system is equipped with Bose's proprietary TrueSpace technology, which delivers a spacious, multichannel sound experience with strong center imaging without the need for additional speakers and wires. The system also includes a universal remote control, which controls the speaker system, as well as most electronic components connected to your TV.

I was looking at klipsch Vs Bose for speakers for my TV. I personally though klipsch speakers sounded better. Bose in my humble opinion has good speaker but is over priced and over rated. But eventually i ended buying the Bose cause i didnt have my room wired for a 5.1 speaker system and the fewer cables on this system won me over.
If you have the option of going with a 5.1 system i'd say get a klipsch. If cabling a 5.1 is hard or not possible in your room this is a good option.
I give it three stars for good sound, elegant looks and easy of set up. loses 2 stars for lack of 'volume level display', 'no HDMI input/output', 'price factor' .

* No HDMI interface so you will have to switch between TV and Amp on your remote when controlling both. can get very annoying after a while
* There is nothing to indicate what level the volume is set at. As far the the speakers and amp is concerned only interface you see is a small green LED which blinks when you increase or decrease the volume. For the price its at i would have expected Bose to provide a more easy interface
* Remote provided by Bose is not of much use if you have a smart TV
* Did i say expensive ? :)

Best stereo system I've every purchased. I love that the only adjustment is the sub-woofer. No treble, no bass, just perfect response! I am very pleased with the Movie style experience with my home theater.
