The MDR-EX38iP in-ear headphones from Sony pack big audio into a small and affordable design. Neodymium drivers provide a wide frequency response with deep bass and clear treble, while an inline remote control lets you control music playback and make quick volume adjustments on certain iPod models and other MP3 players. The built-in microphone is perfect for making phone calls on iPhones and other smartphones, or taking voice notes on compatible MP3 players.
To find the best in-ear fit, 3 different sizes of soft silicone eartips are provided. The proper fit maximizes noise isolation and helps to improve bass response. The Y-cable has a convenient slider for adjusting tension below the chin. The L-shaped 3.5mm mini plug is compatible with MP3 players, CD players, and other electronic devices. A carrying pouch is included for convenient storage.
Note! This item is compatible with the 4th generation and later iPod nano, 120GB iPod classic, 2nd generation and later iPod touch, and 3rd generation and later iPod shuffle. It is also compatible with all iPhone models. Voice notes and Apple VoiceOver functions are only compatible with certain iPhone/iPod models.

I have only had them for a couple weeks and admittedly have never owned very nice headphones so I have little to compare them to, but I am very pleased with these. They have nice sound quality, much nicer than the apple earbuds. I use them with the 2nd generation ipod touch and the remote works very nicely. I haven't used the microphone much yet, but it seems good so far. Right now I have only good things to say about these

I use these headphones mostly for running in the gym, and although the sound quality is pretty good for the price in my opinion, it's annoying that there's a background thumping from the cable hitting your chest....it completely ruined my running experience. Also the switch to pause/fast forward songs etc. is slightly bumpy and very inconvenient...definitely not as smooth and seamless as the apple headphones. They're good that they are white and have many earbuds but definitely not recommended for running.

You get what you paying for. Sound experience ok. Background noise from the cable and remote completely ruins the sound quality during phone calls, super annoying. The remote it is definitely not built as nice and smooth as the apple headphones. Plus I hate the L shaped plug, my fault on that. I should have read the specs.

I've been using these headphones in my Ipod Touch 4G for about a week and a half. I am happy as always with Sony products. The sound quality is great, and the product seems like it will hold up for some time.
Comments about Sony MDR-EX38iP In-Ear Stereo Headphones (White):
These are the best iPhone headphones under $80 hands down. Way better than the apple stock ones or upgrades.

My Apple ear buds blew out the left and started to go in the right due too one drop of sweat. I have a 3rd gen ipod Shuffle (looks like a stick of gum) so I had to get ear phones with the controls to change songs. Most online were 40 bucks or more. B&H had the Sony MDR EX318ip for 30. NOW I can hear what I have been missing (bass, clear vocals) and they come with three sizes of ear plugs. My only minor complaint is the tactile feel of the center control.

These Sony headphones are excellent value. They are not inexpensive, however their sound is not either. Their sound response is pleasantly linear and they are very good for iPod and other players duty. I will say that they are almost as good as my Shure headphones which were 3 times as expensive. The only drawback is the volume control only works with certain new iPods, but this is not necessarily Sony's fault.

Of all the headphones I've owned for my ipod these are by far the best at a resonable price. My husband is majorly into stereo equipment and sound quality and since he knew I didn't want to spend tons on money on something like this he told me this was the best for the money. He was right. These work great for my cell phone too. Even more bang for my buck!

I tried the Apple earphones with my IPod Shuffle, and spent half my time keeping them in my ears. These Sony earbuds work great. They stay in place while shooting basketball, and the better fit enhances the sound quality. Although I haven't tried other earbud upgrades, this one would be hard to beat.
