Comments about Trendnet 300Mbps Wireless N Travel Router Kit:
I bought this for when I am at a hotel that doesn't have wireless internet. Needed something for my phone and laptop to. I programmed it to be secure, and it worked great. The range isn't too great, but I am only using it in a small hotel room!

I use this travel router when traveling--enables me to add the security of my own router when using "public" networks to access the internet. Love it!

Comments about Trendnet 300Mbps Wireless N Travel Router Kit:
This router was bought for a trip to Japan to allow conversion of an apartment wired network to wireless access by my tablet. We were told that in many places, Japan apartment life is still a wired community, and that WiFi may not be accessable. It was selected for it's small size and ease of operation. Set up here in the States ensured that it will be ready to run as soon as we move in. It's small size allows it to travel in a small pocket in the tablet case.

Comments about Trendnet 300Mbps Wireless N Travel Router Kit:
I used this newly purchased product recently in hotels where I connected the TRENDnet router to the hotel's ethernet connection rather than using the alternative hotel wireless system. Setup was easy. I felt I had a more secure system than I would have using the hotel's wireless system directly. I know the signal was much faster, both on my laptop and my iPhone, as indicated by the signal bars on those devices.I'm looking forward to using this device in foreign hotels where wireless internet seems to be less prevalent than wired. The product is a real bargain at this price, in my opinion.

Comments about Trendnet 300Mbps Wireless N Travel Router Kit:
Works good for the design intended. Small enough for anyone's shirt pocket. Speed seems good. Better than using a Hotel Wireless that you are sharing with everyone. This assumes the Hotel also has a regular Ethernet Wire that you can connect the small router. Using this way allows you to use your Tablet or Laptop at much higher speed that you will normally get using a Hotel Wireless Connection. Some busines locations only provide the regular Ethernet Connection, so using this mini-router allows you to connect your Tablet when no regular Wireless Connection is available.
Cons: Pretty challenging to set it up. Instructions provided do not actually work. Was only able to set it up using the Wireless with nothing else connected. Found this to work after numerous tries and using a gem clip to reset the unit, starting over each time. The Password setups are in several different menus. I missed one of them and treated the other guests to my internet connection for several hours.
Pros: I would purchase again, as this small unit does provide higher speed connections while traveling. Two of my Friends ordered a unit each after they saw the one I have.

Comments about Trendnet 300Mbps Wireless N Travel Router Kit:
I bought this device so that my wife and I could both log on in travel situations where there was only one wired network port. After some initial fumbling I found that it was everything the manufacturer [...] said it would. I just plugged it in and rolled!Initially, the manual seemed to describe a quiet complicated process, which indeed could result if one needed several layers of protocol and security. That did not need to be so in my case, but it warrants the loss of one star.

This product was added to a wired router and it is working excellent. The laptops can log on easily while the desktops can remain wired. Setup was simple and painless. The range is well within an acceptable distance though not too far.

I bought this to complement my mini pc a zotac Zbox hd nd22, and it works brillantly. i had esxi installed on box, but had a problem remotely accessing it as it esx does not support wifi. i wanted to get something so i could carry my little box into work, but had a problem could not do it without a router. this little gadget fixed my problem and now i have a mini server to carry around without anybody noticing it in work or libarary. device is brillant, and will come in use when i travel in a couple of months. well recommended for those wishing to setup small network labs
