Comments about 72mm Hoya HD Clear Protection Glass Filter:

Good filter, works as advertised. The main perk about this filter is the glass element is sealed with the ring, so dust and water doesn't leak through to the front element.

Comments about 72mm Hoya HD Clear Protection Glass Filter:

B+W filters feel a little more solid, mainly due to the weight of the brass but the Hoya feels very well constructed. My B+W MRC filter was good, but a bit of a dust/lint magnet. Hopefully, this Hoya won't be so much.

So far, no issues with flare or ghosting.

Comments about 72mm Hoya HD Clear Protection Glass Filter:

I learned a hard lesson about the importance of protecting my lenses. I was using a popular "inexpensive" clear filter to protect one of my favorite " NOT inexpensive" lenses. This resulted in a repair that could have been avoided and lost time that cannot be replaced. Fact is, for less than 20$ more I wouldn't have lost money or time for this silly FREAK ACCIDENT.

I always buy this specific filter for my Canon lenses to protect them. The only defect tis that is produces flare. Other than that there's no difference in what you use.......
