I use this on the Canon 7D mounted on the hotshoe, it also mounts on the rails with a Manfrotto Nano clamp.
It is useful for attaching my Zoom H4N for documentary interviews, some LED lights or a monitor. I am definitely going to buy a Ikan Cheese Stick jnr so I can mount more gear on my rig.

I really liked the length and it seemed high quality, then it broke holding a GoPro at low load and vibration. basically it boils down to the fact that the material used in the cenrtal cam is too soft and as i tightened it to hold it it pushed the cam through the pushrods gouging the cam and locking the lower arm, also gouging up the ball head on that side. Its a good design, but the soft metal let it down.

I really liked the length and it seemed high quality, then it broke holding a GoPro at low load and vibration. basically it boils down to the fact that the material used in the cenrtal cam is too soft and as i tightened it to hold it it pushed the cam through the pushrods gouging the cam and locking the lower arm, also gouging up the ball head on that side. Its a good design, but the soft metal let it down.

This was perfect. For it to be perfect I removed the tightening knobs on each end and added a locking washer.
Now when I tilt my rig the monitor swing loose or the entire unit doesn't swing loose from the rig.
This unit adds a lot of flexibility to my rig setup.

This arm was very unstable. Arm holding not strong (it's easy to scroll). After a month of work went into disrepair - joints are falled off. Mechanism jammed. Very dissatisfied this product. I threw my money. No one advise!

I have two of these arms - one to mount a 7in monitor the other a Lite Panel Mini light on my cameras. The thing I don't like about them is that it takes several turns of the nob to tighten and then loosen the arm. Other arms I have will do this in half a turn - it doesn't sound much but it makes all the difference when you are in the field and changing position all the time.
I'm now going to only use these arms for the Lite Panel and use my other arms for monitors.
They are about half the price of the other arms I have but they feel like it - you get what you pay for.
