The Hoya 67mm Ultraviolet UV (C) Haze Filter is a wise initial investment. It helps protect your valuable investment from dust, moisture and scratches, which can lead to costly repairs. The "C" on the filter ring designates Hoya's thinner design for this filter. This filter has its UV properties in the multi-coating.The result is an average light transmission of over 97% giving sharp contrast and well balanced color. Hoya HMC filters are recommended for enhancing the performance of today's multicoated digital lenses.

Multicoated to minimize reflection at the filter surfaces which reduces flare and ghosting.

I actually purchased 1 of these for each of my lenses and I must say that I am impressed. I also added a Circular Polarizing Lens on my main lens for shooting cloud pictures. These UV Filters are inexpensive and a lens-saver. I highly recommend putting these on every lens you own to protect the lens from scratches while giving you clearer pictures!

I got one for 58mm and it fits perfect but this one that I got (67mm) somehow doesn't really fit well. It fits ok on the lens but the lens cap doesn't fit well on it. For the 58mm the lens cap just snaps onto the filter. However, for the 67mm the lens cap doesn't really want to stay on. I need to force it (push hard) to make it stay on my lens. I would recommend to try some other brands.

    Great affordable multicoat filter

    By Mista Toad

    from Seattle WA

Comments about Hoya 67mm Ultraviolet UV (C) Haze Multicoated Filter:

My first and still only PL mount lens is the Red 17mm-50mm T2.9. At this point I only have one 4x5.65 filter so far, so since this lens takes 67mm round filters, my quick, light, cheap solution is to forego 4x5.65 and just use circular filters. I keep this on generally all the time to protect my lens. The price is amazingly good for a multicoat filter.

Comments about Hoya 67mm Ultraviolet UV (C) Haze Multicoated Filter:

Putting a UV filter on the end of any lens is a good investment in that lens. I've cracked filters instead of lenses and it is much easier to clean a dirty filter then a lens.

Since I started enjoying photography many years ago with film cameras, I always used Hoya filters on my lenses from the first day. I find that besides the protection of the lens, they have also a good quality with a good price.

Crystal-clear UV filter protects the front element of my Nikkor lens for just a few dollars. No worries about scratches, dings or wind-driven sand. That's no small issue here in southern Florida.

Well worth the investment. I wouldn't even consider taking my lens out of the case without this filter mounted.

Being a professional photographer I've spent a lot of money on UV filters for every lens I own.
This Hoya off-brand filter is as good as anything I've paid a lot more for.
Now I shoot high-end digital and it's absolutely as good as anything I've ever put on a lens. Clean, clear and sharp.

I bought this for a "transparent lens cover" for the Canon 35mm IS.
It feels okay but isn't as thin as the advert might let you believe, but doesn't come close to vignetting on a 35mm.

I do wish Hoya would add some (pun-intended) transparency
to their filter line as it is nearly impossible to determine what additional features one gets/loses by going up or down a price step.

Comments about Hoya 67mm Ultraviolet UV (C) Haze Multicoated Filter:

I'm using this primarily to protect the front element of my lens. The UV filtering and multicoating is an added bonus. No lens should be without one!

I put this on end of each len I have, depending on size of len. These UV filters do come in different sizes to fit the lenses you have. But remember if your doing pictures with flames or candles it will look like double images. This is when you take it off for these kind of pictures. Enjoy and have fun.
