Product Highlights
  • 8-Stop Neutral Density Filter
  • Increase Exposure Length
  • Schott Superwite Glass

The Formatt-Hitech 72mm HD ND 2.4 Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing a 8 stop reduction in exposure. This 2.4 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or longer shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.

This filter is constructed from Schott Superwhite glass to maintain high optical clarity and is set within a 4mm-thick metal filter ring.

2.4 ND filter darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.

Comments about Formatt Hitech 72mm HD ND 2.4 Filter:

slight warm color cast when taking photos, slight unsharpening of photos but thats what happens when you use filters so im not too picky about it. nothing that photoshop cant correct a bit (not sure what you video guys would do as im unfamiliar with vid). superb build quality, real glass, great price. i wanted to shoot at f1.2 outdoors. this 2.4 may actually have been overkill.
