This is a pretty good gear bag for the price. It was however advertised as being able to fit 1 camera+lens and 2 extra lenses. It comes with a large space in the middle for your SLR, and dividers on either side for lenses. I suppose if you were using an entry level SLR, this would be enough space, but I have a hard time believing that even a D80 or D90 would comfortably fit with a lens on either side. I use a D200 with a battery pack, and even without the pack attached, it's a tight squeeze.

Fortunately Lowepro planned for just such a situation, and I was able to remove one of the dividers, move the other over and can now comfortably store the D200, with pack and lens attached in the big compartment, with two primes stashed to the side in lens cases, or one lens without one. There's not much auxiliary storage space for filters, extra batteries, etc, but the small compartment on the outside is well designed and stretches a bit for bulkier stuff.

The construction of the bag is what you'd expect, with thick, bright orange pads covering every bit of the bag that gives a little peace of mind should your gear get knocked around a little. My only complaint about the build are the cheap, plastic "d-clip" style strap loops on the bag, and the generally cheap and poor quality of the strap. They do put a little strip of neoprene near your neck so it doesn't slip around, but it completely lacks any sort of padding on the cheap nylon strap, so it's not something you want to lug around your neck for two hours or even more than a few minutes. Not a bad bag for the price, but I will probably replace the strap with something that less resembles a hangman's noose.

    Wonderful

Comments about Lowepro Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag:

I wasn't expecting it to be such a perfect fit for my mirroless camera! Even with my 2 lenses, I still have space for other items (ex. my wallet, phone, etc). Though I do wish that it came with a better shoulder strap as there isn't any padding on the one that comes with the bag. Overall I love it!

Arrived quickly. I wanted a small bag to carry my camera and lens and possibly another lens. It does that nicely and is lightweight and will protect the camera nicely. It is not as roomy as I hoped but is still a very high quality bag.

          Great bag! 5 star!

          By Connor

          from Sherman, Ct

Comments about Lowepro Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag:

Love the bag!!!! Great buy! Just 2 things I didn't like about it. The first is because of where the strap clips are located, it can be hard to open the bag up because the plastic clasps get in the way of the zipper a little bit. The second reason is that there is not good shoulder padding which could cause a little bit of annoyance when on long days. I normally carry around a 70-200 f4 with a 5d markiii and a 50mm and it can be heavy and hurt your shoulder. What I do love about it though is it looks really nice and for the size it can hold a lot of stuff. And for the price it's a perfect buy!! I'd definitely recommend it!

Big enough for a DSLR with zoom lens and an extra lens or two (two smaller stacked) and a few gadgets. Side pockets are handy for gadgets or personal items.Shoulder strap is good, but could be a little wider. Strap could be easily replaced with an after market strap if desired. A pocket on the inside of the protective flap for passport, tickets, camera manual, etc. would be a great extra feature.

I purchased this camera bag for work. I have a Canon PowerShot SX10iS and a Sony HandyCam that I use for recording BMPs that we costshare on with farmers. I needed a small bag that was just big enough for the cameras, a flash and all of the cables, chargers, manuals and extra batteries. Everything fits perfectly and is well protected. I can use the hand strap, shoulder strap or wear it on my belt. Material seems durable and easy to clean. I received the bag very quickly and in perfect condition.

Comments about Lowepro Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag:

It's a nicely constructed bag. To put things into perspective, I put my D3200 (with my attached 18-55) lens-down into the case, and there is still a solid inch or two of space between the camera and the top of the bag when closed.

This bag does well at holding:
                        D3200 with 18-55 lens attached
55-300 lens, in its drawstring bag
                        Charger, USB cable, A/V cable
                        Camera strap I never use
                        Extra lens caps
                        IR remote

(I've never tried or used the bag strap, and with all the accessories it would not fit well into the case)

After putting the D3200 AND the 55-300 lens in there, I only have room for accessories. The bulky Nikon battery charger doesn't fit "nicely" into the side pouches, but it fits great under my 55-300 lens. Using the 2 included padded dividers, I have a half-inch of space for a third partition to put my strap and cables in against the interior wall of the case. I keep extra lens caps in the side pouches. The front pocket is great, but it's flat, so I can't put really bulky things in there without making the case look stuffed. But it will hold a few filters and an IR remote.

Perfect for a medium-size camera, big extra lens, and a few accessories. If I also had a flash, it might fit under/above the camera, but then the whole thing would begin to look like a game of Tetris.

Holds plenty. Easily fits DSLR w/ lens, an additional lens, extra batteries, lens filters, and a slew of memory cards. Construction feels rugged and sturdy, yet soft.

I've only had this bag for a short time,
but I'm very happy with its build and camera protection padding.

Actually it's larger than I had imagined. But all my equipment fit in it, 1 Camera, 1 Lens and 1 Flash, plus batteries and SD cards. Despite being a bit bigger, it was a great purchase!
