Purchased this backpack to store my Nikon F100 with attached 80-200 lens, 50mm lens, SB-28 speedlight, polarizing filter, a total of 6 rolls of film tucked inside different compartments, and six AA batteries. It's the perfect size backpack for my 5'4" height. I did rearrange the padded inserts to get the fit I wanted, but it works fine. I researched other camera backpacks but the size of this worked best. Other things I appreciate about the backpack is that it doesn't look like a camera bag, has nice external padding, and comfortable shoulder straps. The only thing that could have been better is the built-in rain cover--it needs to be bigger to fully cover the backpack. Haven't yet tried the pocket for an attached tripod. I have a tripod bag so that may not be something I use.

I have a Canon 7D and the designated camera chamber was too small for the camera with kit lens. Once reconfigured to fit the camera (awkwardly), there was little room for lenses/filters. The other problem was that the velcro anchors are not in enough places to provide good flexibility for reconfiguration. I had to return it. Too bad, because it's nicely made.

I like it - it is light - it holds a lot of pockets - it can contain more than 2 lenses and for backpack lovers, this is just what you need.

Sturdy protection-it's a gear bag not a lunch bag. The padding feels very protective and the rain cover hides away nicely.
Looking at it I didn't see how I could get most of my outdoor photography gear in a small looking bag but it does the job in a compact way.I have a pro body(5D Mark iii) and attached wide angle lens,2nd body(T3i),70-300mm lens,2nd wide angle lens, tele extender and extension tubes in main body and then filters, remotes, batteries, memory, manuals etc. in pouch compartments.

I travel a lot, so I camera bag that I wouldn't mind having with me hiking in the mountains, or touring around a city. This bag fits my needs pretty well.
There are a lot of compartments for lenses, filters, batteries, etc, and should be big enough for most enthusiast like me who only have one camera body and 3-4 lenses (depending on the size of the lenses). The tripod holder is very convenient and useful.
This backpack, when full, can wear on your shoulders a little bit, and you may find yourself sore after a few hours (But what camera bag wouldn't?) However, the strain on your back can be helped by securing the chest strap (there's also a second strap that would go around your abdomen). The weight is much more evenly distributed once the chest strap is done up tightly.
The only downside (which is obvious), is that, being a backpack, it takes a lot more time to access your equipment than a sling backpack or a shoulder bag.
The rain cover has saved me already, and lets absolutely no moisture into the bag.
For such a low price, and for those that want a camera bag that doesn't scream "camera bag", this bag a nice choice.

I use the bag to carry a Cannon Ti3 with an attached lens plus another telephoto lens, battery charger, spare battery, spare memory cards and other accessories. It is well padded, has adjustable carrying straps, is very compact and easy to carry. It has several spare outside pockets. It is exactly what I wanted and I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

It is a very useful backpack for a beginner. It was a place for your tripod and a cover for raining days. I bought this for a friend for her birthday Gift. She loves it.

I just love this bag! It is small, but not too small. It is the perfect bag for hiking or travelling (especially on a plane). It has plenty of space but is still small enough not to be cumbersome. I can easily fit in the bag my Canon 60D with my 18-135mm lens or my 70-300mm on and still have plenty of space left for other stuff. There is lots of little pockets inside, as well as a water bottle holder and a place to attach a tripod on the outside. The bag also has a waterproof cover that can be unrolled to cover the whole bag in case of rain. It is practical, sturdy and lightweight. The only drawback is that you have to take off the bag from your back to get at the camera or whatever you want in the bag... which is why I indicated "Hard To Access Equipment", but once you take off the bag, it is very easy to get to the equipment. Once I reach my destination, I leave my camera out all the time anyway, so I don't consider the lack of easy access a drawback. If you're the type to put your camera in and out of your bag all the time, a backpack is probably not the ideal choice for you. I would definitely recommend this bag to anyone looking for a small, lightweight, comfortable and versatile backpack.

Ive had mine for 3 years and love it! It is a great backpack for day hiking and field use. I fit a Nikon D-7000 w/ battery grip, D-300 w/ battery grip, and 3 lens and a flash gun. Great buy for ametuer and semi-pro photographers! Very good for ATVing, Not too big or too small.

This backpack is just right! Not too heavy, not too large. It still fits enough to carry what you need around. I am petite, so it is a great fit for me! The straps are easily adjustable and make it very comfortable. I was really happy to see that it came with a rain cover too. It is great quality! I was extremely happy with my purchase, and I have already had it out with me shooting. I highly recommend this backpack to anyone starting out!

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 200 AW Backpack (Black):
I'm just getting into photography and was looking for a small backpack, suited toward an active/mobile lifestyle. I needed it to hold my Nikon D5100, 18-55mm lens, 55-300mm lens, and accessories. I got to check out a few in person (including the Slingshot, Flipside, and Fast Pack) before purchasing online. I chose the Pro Runner over the others for its size, access/organization, and quality construction. I was worried that not having a side compartment would slow access to the camera down, but it hasn't been an issue. It unzips very well, leaving easy access to everything. I've also been able to hold the bag, quickly unzip the top part, and pull the camera out without setting the backpack down. I also carry an extra battery, charger, cables, a point and shoot, a flip video camcorder, lens cleaning kit, microfibers, SD cards, remote, gps geotagger, and still have room! The tripod holder also works great for compact tripods. Its a great size to travel with and the construction feels solid, so I'm not worried about my equipment being protected in it. I like the weather cover too, though I haven't had to use it yet! If you're looking for a small, quality, protective backpack... you'll find this a great choice!

This bag is alright for a guy who only carries around a few key lenses and one slr camrea. YOu won't be able able to fit every single bit of your equpment, nor is there alot of depth in the bag, but the dimentions are listed in description,.. over all not bad for it's price, if some one wants more space, to carry around more, then look for bigger more expenisve bags.

I use this as a secondary bag, for when I want to be more mobile. It will hold a full frame camera with 70-200 lens, extra lens or two, and flash no problem. Seems really nice build quality for the price. Only negative, I wish it were just a tad bit taller.
