The black 5607 Ultra Pro Camera Bag from Tamrac is perfect for a pro DSLR, a flash, and the three most popular zoom lens sizes - a wide angle, a standard zoom, and a telephoto lens (including most 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses). This is a 600 denier PolyTek bag with foam padded interior and a rigid plastic platform in the bottom that provides shock protection. There are interior dividers to customize the bag.

A Total Coverage Top combines the security of a zipper with the convenience of quick-release buckles and fast-access hook and loop closures. The bag has a Speed Pocket in the top for fast access to accessories and personal items, and a ZipDrop front pocket features Windowpane-Mesh and paraphernalia pockets to visibly organize accessories. It also has a front pocket that features a Memory & Battery Management System that uses red flags to identify available memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up, and a smooth nylon pocket inside the top.

The 5607 case has a removable M.A.S. Rain Cover included to protect the camera gear in extreme weather. When not needed, the Rain Cover can be removed and replaced with another M.A.S. (Modular Accessory System) accessory, such as a water bottle or a lens case. There are S.A.S. (Strap Accessory System) slots on the shoulder strap that allows customizing this bag. There are lash tabs on the bottom of the bag that allow a compact tripod to be attached; optional S-113 accessory straps are required. The case is carried by an EasyGrip carrying handle or a removable, adjustable BioCurve shoulder strap with pad. There is a Piggy-Back Pocket that zips open to allow the bag to be slipped over the handle of rolling luggage.

Comments about Tamrac 5607 Ultra Pro 7 Camera Case:

Purchased to replace older Pro5, only because the carry straps were showing visible deterioration where they rub around the "D" rings (I load this bag heavily, and have carried it constantly, worldwide, for years) ---- it is essentially the same, but a little taller (better for my Nikon D3 with 80-200 f2.8 attached) and a little wider. One other improvement: it has attachments underside, for tripod carry straps "S-113" --- although I aready load this so much, I could't carry it but for short distances with even another 3.5lbs (tripod) hanging from it. Biggest "plus" for me,in both bags, is the vertical orientation of the camera, ready for quick, easy extraction while wearing the bag. My only "wish": lid flipping open away from the user, allowing even easier access while wearing the bag.

Comments about Tamrac 5607 Ultra Pro 7 Camera Case:

Picked this for a convenient size between my large backpack and my small shoulder bag. Well made and nice size for one body with grip and lens mounted and a couple of other lenses. Use for my pleasure shoots, haven't tried to pack multiple bodies in it for client shoots. Plenty of room for misc. items as well.

Comments about Tamrac 5607 Ultra Pro 7 Camera Case:

I was looking for a relatively small, durable bag that would allow me to store my D7000 with a 70/200 2.8 lens attached and another smaller lens or two and accessories. This bag fit the bill perfectly.

Comments about Tamrac 5607 Ultra Pro 7 Camera Case:

After trying several different options (various shoulder bags & top loaders), I found this bag to be a perfect fit for a 7D, 70-200 2.8L IS II (w/ hood reversed), 17-55 2.8 (w/ hood reversed), and 1.4x extender. When the bag first arrived I thought it was way to big, but later realized it is a perfect fit for all this gear.

I love being able to keep the 70-200 attached to the 7D since I mainly shoot with this lens. I'm also able to add an EOS Rebel attached to the 17-55 lens along with everything else, which is great for situations where lens changes are not possible.

When I need to carry a flash, I use the Tamrac M.A.S flash accessory pocket on the outside.

The padding on the shoulder strap works very well with the weight of all this gear. I'm able to carry the bag comfortably either over one shoulder or across the body on the opposite shoulder.

Comments about Tamrac 5607 Ultra Pro 7 Camera Case:

I needed a bigger bag for a Nikon D300 with a Nikon 24-70 f2.8 (a big lens), Nikon 70-200 f2.8 (another big lens) and an SB900 flash along with necessities such as spare batteries, notepad, flashlight, etc. This bag is absolutely perfect for me.

It looked way too big when first arrived but, in fact, an inch smaller in any dimension would make it too small. I do not normally carry the lens hoods that came with my lenses so I'm not sure how tight they would make the bag, but seems as though they would be accommodated. There actually is plenty of room left for a second flash in addition to a couple of compact lenses when needed.

Tamrac designers made this bag tall and kept it somewhat slim so it's not hanging out into space when slung on my shoulder. Nicely designed, nicely organized, really well built, and I so much appreciate the non-skid section in the underside of the shoulder strap cushion. The flap's plastic buckle will break someday, probably, but there are two more, one on each side, and a full zipper! Still wish science would come up with a better way to secure a flap.

I purchased this bag at the recommendation of the sales person over the phone. When I received it, all my equipment fit just as described with room for expansion. The only difficulty was deciding where to put everything in the numerous storage pockets.

I was using a bag that was a little too large and shaped like a duffel bag, before I got the Ultra Pro 7. This bag is a more suitable shape and it's stand up design is preferable to what I had. The side straps accommodate the extra pockets when I need them.
