Comments about Induro Alloy 8M AT013 Tripod:

I've had this tripod for a couple weeks now and I am very impressed with it. I got this specifically for travel and have actually used it for around the house/yard projects as well. I have the larger AT313 which I use for studio and more stationary shoots like portraits, etc. and love it. I bought a Giottos MH-1302 ballhead to go along with this tripod and it fits perfectly! I have a 5D mkIII with a grip and the tripod handles it just fine. The ballhead is great and in tests did just fine under the heavy weight with basic functions. It does struggle with anything between 0-90 degrees simply due to the heavy weight of my camera and my 70-300mm or even the 24-105mm but I really don't plan to take such odd angles in the field. With a smaller camera or lighter load, no problem. No noticeable shake in wind with the tripod and can probably handle more weight than it indicates. The overall weight is just what I hoped for and is a nice addition to my travel arsenal.

Comments about Induro Alloy 8M AT013 Tripod:

I was looking for the best compromise between quality, lightweight, and low cost, and this tripod seemed to offer it. I love it thus far! I use a fairly light setup on it - a Canon 5D Mark II with a fairly light lineup of lenses for landscape photography (the 17-40mmf/4, the 50mmf/1.2, sometimes a 70-300mm telephoto). You may look for a more heavy duty tripod if you have heavier setups, but that is the only downside I would note.
